First off, I've got nothing but admiration for that Angron! It's a superb piece of painting and I find that the blood is not overdone in the least - as many have said - this is Angron . And, whilst i'm not a massive fan of the level of OSL on the Tau, aside from that (which is just a matter of personal taste - certainly not your painting skills), it's another excellent model. Both the Tau and Angron are, IMO, stunning and put my painting to shame. Great work mate.

@cerbrus2 - I'm guessing the reason FW include the SM casualties are for them to either be painted up a loyalists from the Legions that did not rebel, or, as shown on the FW site and in the OP's model, as Loyalists from the traitor legions. In this case, it appears that Angron is dispatching a loyalist World Eater and some Loyalist Death Guard.

Ok I could be missing something here. But why would angron my slicing parts off of his own men, and death guard. I'm still working my way through the back log of Horus heresy. And currently reading betrayer. But it never makes seance for him to attacking death guard let lane his own legion. (Apart from the fact he is a psycho) but forge world have done the same. So I know I'm missing something lol

In the lore the Khorn fellows have actually killed allied brothers (other chaos marines) for the sake of spilling blood. In the case of the model I think it is a combination of both, either loyalists that he is crushing and/or his lack of caring due to his cybernetic implant driven desire to spill blood.

Angron does not ask one to step aside. He moves you... with the head of a giant chain axe.

This gave me a smile lol.

Thanks for the praise, however, I dislike when others tell me it is 'better than they could do.' While I like compliments as much as the next guy I also fancy the idea that everyone can paint good, just takes time to develop the skill =). I started painting about 3 years ago my first army of Ultramarines looked really poopy compared to what I do now.

Read Galaxy In Flames, it is explained in there that . . .

Spoiler:
When Horus betrayed loyalist Sons of Horus, Death Guard, Emperor's Children, and World Eaters, he sent Angron and company down to wipe out anyone who survived the virus bombs. This included surviving Death Guard and World Eaters.
