For over-all direct impact on the game, I want to say Scythe. As above, a couple of Scythes can easily clean up objectives in the last turns.

If you have enough thrust behind something it will fly, aerodynamics be dammed. Even if it's a solid lead cube as tall as godzilla, it's only a question of thrust..

Which is why Project Orion looks so cool to scientists, but they're having trouble convincing anyone that riding on a stream on nuclear explosions is safe or environmentally friendly.

I have a peanut allergy. It's really inconsiderate.

I think the manta should be classified as an army, not a unit.

But the new barracuda and remora stats seems, at least on paper, quite interesting.

Best flier? Dakkajet for sure.

It's nice to see a flier that looks cool, does a good job, and isn't broken as feth like the Vendetta, Helldrake, that Necron one that can be spammed mercilessly, or apparently some of the new Tau stuff.

Why people would call a unit so strong it broke the game "good" is well and truly beyond me.

I'm one year away from an aerospace engineering degree and I can say that this is depressingly correct. If you have more thrust than weight then anything can fly. All the fancy "aerodynamics" stuff I've been learning is just unnecessary efficiency

That's less a flier and more a small spaceship hanging around the troposphere.

This this this. You don't even need to field anything else in a 2k points game. You can't, in fact. It can literally put the hurt on even a Reaver Titan, and can take down a Warhound in pretty short order.

...But of course, if you feel the need to, you can disembark that entire Tau army you've been using it as a carrying case for...
