Battle Barge also is not a specific class of vessel.

The Ad Mech does make a class of ship specifically for Space Marines to function as a Battle Barge, but really the term applies to any ship a space marine chapter uses as one. An Emperor class Battleship can be a battlebarge if a marine chapter is using it as one.

I was wondering what was better, the most fearsome warship the the imperial navy has or the most terrorifing warship in the space marine arsenal. Both warships are fearsome in there own right but I would like to know which are better at the following
1. Combat (against each other)
Assuming a typical (i.e. non-HH relic warship), depends on the class, but usually the Battleship will have an edge, particularly if the battle is begun at some range.

2. Depolyment of onboard armies
Typically the Battle Barge will have a heavy edge here.

3. Maneuverability
They're both slow and ponderous.

Battle Barges are one of the few SM vessels that can stand roughly toe to toe with an Imperial Navy warship, a Strike Cruiser for instance is at a grave disadvantage next to an Imperial Navy Cruiser. If the battle is opened at a distance, the Battleship will likely be victorious, if the Battle Barge can close range, then it has a better chance.

This is at least going by Battlefleet Gothic fluff.

I've read stories about Terminators teleporting aboard bridges to kill all the command crew and all that.

My question here is what, uh, exactly stops them from doing that all the time?
They have to be very close to teleport and the enemies shields usually must be down, and boarding torpedoes can be shot down on their way in.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Plus it only has 10cm range (whatever that translates into fluff wise).

Void shields.... And caution when teleporting so you don't end up half inside a control panel.
