I did the math a couple of times (search my posts if you are interested in that), and both shoota boyz and lootaz are better at killing terminators (per points spent) than flash gits. Flash gits are about 20% better than slugga boyz when it comes to killing terminators with shooting. Even if you ignore "Get's hot!", buying the additional -1 to AP actually makes them less efficient at killing terminators, as you pay 5 points on top of a 35 point model (15% price increase) for a 7% increase in killing power.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
