I was wondering how they are meant to be used (I am probably missing something really big here, so feel free to be blunt in your explanations).
Well, I did crazy things with Warp Spiders. For instance, I said it already, I battled Nids and when the smaller faster bugs were approaching my front ranks, my 10 Warp Spiders stepped into the swarm (scary thought), shot the Warriors at the back part of the swarm, and afterwards moved into a building behind the swarm. My enemy got nuts.

are you guys sure they can do the warp jump AND the 2d6 boost in assault phase?
according to the rules it says they either move as jet pack infantry or make a warp jump
Id love to get some clarification as my local game group says they can either do the jump OR the boost as per Jet pack infantry

Yes.
They ARE Jet Pack infantry.
Jet Pack infantry can move as Jet Pack infantry, jumping over terrain, walk or not move at all. They can then do the jump regardless of what they did in the movement phase. Warp Jump gives an additional movement type they can take instead of moving as Jet Pack infantry in the movement phase but that has no bearing on what they do in the Assault Phase as it doesn't change their unit type and the Assault move isn't reliant on what you did in the movement phase.

That's a question for YMDC methinks.

It's pretty clear cut to me.
Here is a thread about it though.
