Rule number one: Do it the way you like it, and to the eye of terror with the heretics who complained. Even with the "cooled lava" it still looks great, but your yellow lava was the bomb

Don't bother with what these people are saying. If I built an awesome custom warhammer table and was then kind enough to allow people to play on it only for them to complain about it I'd just tell them to F off.

I think the only thing the first table was lacking was some dark burnt ground around the lava.

Still I'd take the first one any day of the week. It's much better. The lava itself is perfectly done.

How is the 40K scene in NZ these days Gandohar? I remember when there was only one place in Auckland to play back in 91.

He asked you to build/paint the board, I imagine you gave him a brief on what you were going to do and he ok'd it.

He didn't like it.

First, I like the original better also. That said, If I was your manager and I told you to re-paint the board that is exactly what you would do. If you didn't, I'd fire you.

The second effort looks like crap, I'd tell him to do it again, again. From the look of the re-paint I'd say he did a less than quality effort on purpose.
