Labmouse42; I'll try to post up the numbers today, but basically I just ran the expected values of each against GEQ, MEQ, TEQ, T6 3+ and AV10&11. I knew the Predator would win AV12/13 and the Raider AV14 so I was looking for the overlapping targets.

I didn't both with cover saves since both units have the same AP values.

I don't run the God Hammer cause I like running my troops as 14-man BT squads. I'm curious to see the Mathmammer on LRCs

As requested, the mathhammer between stock standard Land Raider and an AC/LC Predator. No cover saves used. Both BS4.Numbers are amount of unsaved wounds or lost HP.

This thread really makes me miss my 14 bloodclaws and a BeatStick Wolf Lord hopping out of a LRC and laying down 12 powerfist attacks and 6 I5 S5 power weapon attacks :(

This threat gives me hope for my double LRC list!

Regarding Eldar, aren't Wraith units pretty common now? Even the Flamer ones pen on a 6, against any AV, at AP2. It shouldn't be hard for Eldar lists to be covered against AV14.

I am not sure what everyone else has seen, but Eldar jetbikes seem to be more common around here than wraithguard are. Even so I feel that wraithguard, much like the now less common fire dragons, should be easy to keep track of and maneuver around. It helps that they do not have battle-focus too. I would be more concerned about a wraithknight if the opponent has one.

5 WG with D-Scythes shot at a LR and get five hits. That's 0.83 Pens. Not incredibly scary. I picked D-Scythe because that's what the interwebs seem most likely to use.
