Someone posted them on the MoM and the official forums.

As far as I know, the KS isn't open yet.

Thank you.

I like the Cryx and Ret ones...the others seem a little 'small' but I think that is because they are still junior guys and not veterans...in which case I think they have pulled this off.

I would love to see this do well enough to encompass Hordes.

Edit: Also, it is now 12:22pm on 10th July. PP need to pull their finger out!

Translation accomplished! Apparently the spell is fortify, which is +2 ARM to a target warjack in battlegroup, and the target and models base to base with the target can't suffer KD, be pushed, or be slammed. Not bad, although slightly dependent on what else he gets.

There will be a number of the limited edition sculpts on eBay for inflated costs after the KS.

The non-limited sculpts might be just as nice or even better so I won't be heartbroken if I don't get the KS exclusive versions.

On the topic of the actual game: I hope it runs better than bloomin' War Room...

I dunno....

I'm not sure I'm happy with how so many established companies are starting to use Kickstarter to have no-risk releases.

I feel that such big company Kickstarter campaigns provides a lot of distraction that makes it harder for the start-ups and small businesses to be heard with their own campaigns.

More news, apparently cross faction Warcasters are a go!

Additionally, you can get your hands on the first warcaster character ever to die and cross factions, Commander Dalin Sturgis, months before his 2014 release. This model includes two different heads, weapons, and power plants so that you can build his heroic Cygnar incarnation if you prefer to play him living, or you can make his undead Cryx incarnation, Sturgis the Corrupted, and let him lead the forces of the Dragonfather! Sturgis is a limited-edition sculpt and comes with both Cygnar and Cryx exclusive gold stat cards, to match your modeling choice, as well as a limited-edition collector’s coin commemorating both his light and dark sides.

I was like that initially, but the more I thought about it, the less concerned I got.

I'm completely fine with companies using KS as a risk mitigation tool, because I'd rather companies I like be allowed to take risks on KS without having to worry about it killing them financially. The prime example of this is Dread Fleet which, while I thought it was really great, has probably made GW a lot more skeptical of releasing things like that.

Apparently the runes say "Fortfy", which is battlegroup jack gets +2 ARM and it (and friendlies in base contact with it) cannot be knocked down. Very sweet, though battle group only makes it quite limited (and I'm OK with that).

The only other thing is I was really hoping for a Paladin journeyman, but he looks a little more like Vinidictus light. But I'm OK with that too

Once it opens, I'll update the title and main post and turn it into the official thread for the project.

Also, going by the criteria of dieing and being brought back by Cryx, the new Cross-faction Warcaster isn't the first ever to die in fiction, Deneghra is.

But he is the first to cross factions upon his death. And thanks for the update (when it comes that is). When do you reckon it'll be? Afternoon to catch after work people to pledge, or during the middle of the day? And yes, I'm asking for pure speculation here, since I've got nothing better to do.

Decided to pre-emptively change the title in case I forget to do it later(cause I do that sometimes). Also, going to try to keep the first post updated with any new developments in case the thread grows as large as some have in the past.

I've heard somewhere that established companies doing Kickstarters actually tend to bring in a lot of backers who are completely new to Kickstarter, and who then go on to pledge for various other campaigns on the website. Don't ask me for references, because I honestly don't remember where I read that, but it sounds plausible/logical to me.

Also, I wouldn't exactly call it "risk-free" - I'm guessing that PP has already blown thousands of dollars on this idea. Concept art, sculptors, payroll for employees, web development, etc. And there's always a chance that the Kickstarter could fail, depending on how much they're asking for.

Well, it does look like the warcasters are going to be $20.....which, I have to admit, seems a bit high, especially on a KS.

I wonder what they'll be, a FA: C solo journeyman sort of thing?

The sad thing is that if the Cygnar one doesn't have Arcane Shield, she'll see almost no play time compared to the regular Journeyman. Unless they come up with something equally valuable for her (I doubt it though)

Even if she doesnt, I'd see lots of sales to serve as conversion fodder for a non-crappy Haley model.

Elara's right leg looks goofy, they need to rotate if like 45 degrees. It looks like she's sitting.

Its steep, I agree, but I can see how they are reaching that value.

UNless he has a new torso as well, he's going to be an odd fit in Cygnar, what with the shirtless, and the chains and all.

Way more than thousands, PP has funded creating a bunch of proof of concept games then shopped around for a publisher, it was a dota clone, and then a 3rd person shooter/fighter, and now a turn based combat game.
instead of continued futzing around for a publisher, they want to do it themselves, exactly what kickstarter is good for, if PP gets their hands into this game deep and does it properly it'll probably be pretty great and bring plenty of new folks into warmachine.

You are mistaking the Cryx "journeyman" with these new warcasters. they are different models.

I agree, it was just a bit surprising. I personally don't put any value on the coin. I mean, what do people do with these coins?
