Alpha Legion infiltrated the Raven Guard at Istvaan III and sewed confusion and killed thousands of Raven Guard from behind. They then corrupted the Raven Guard geneseed to the point that when Corax tried to regrow his legion he created abominations that he had to put down personally.
I was thinking of this but I saw a lot more hate between the death guard to ravenguard cause of the dropsite massacre and they knew who blew it up. Khan was almost like brother with Russ and wanted to help him but helped the emperor but going off events afterward he wanted alpha legion tracked down.

I think that the raven guard hate the world eaters because they hunted them down at the drop site massacre. If not for the alpha legion taking control of the world eaters fleet all of the raven guard would have died.

The world eaters weren't at the dropsite massacre. They left after Istavaan III to reinforce the word bearers against the Ultramarines. Well the main force and primarch.

No they left after the massacre because the word bearers didn't show up until half way through the massacre. The world eaters have stated as being at the massacre not only in several novels but also the 4th and 5th edition chaos codexs( and probably 6th)

The obvious ones:
Black Legion - Blood Angels
Word Bearers - Ultramarines
Thousand Sons - Space Wolves
Iron Warriors - Imperial Fists
Easy ones:
Night Lords fought the Dark Angels for most of the Heresy, with the Primarchs viciously wounding each other.
Iron Hands are really mad at the Emperor's Children since Fulgrim killed their Primarch.
Tenuous ones:
Alpha Legion has screwed with the Raven Guard before, who may or may not be aware of this fact.
White Scars were the vanguard of the Terran defenders, and the World Eaters the vanguard of the invaders, so they would have repeatedly clashed during the Battle of Terra. Both Legions place a high value on personal combat, so there are undoubtedly lots of scores to settle.
Salamanders and Death Guard because Salamanders are sore about Istvaan, because fire is the best solution for most Nurglish things, because Salamanders are all about improving people's lives and the Death Guard are about making their lives a hopeless hellscape, because they are left over and I'm out of ideas.

Are we looking post heresy here? Because the BA didn't really have a particular reason to hate the sons of Horus until the last days of the siege. The Night Lords hate all of the ultramarines 2nd foundings post scouring for the razing of Tsagualsa after Curze's death.

Yes I am looking post heresy. Well post 40k really. I guess "Modern" is the word. Though what's modern for a fictional game that takes places 38,000 years in the future?

Hey, one more reason for the Night Lord - Dark Angels pairling , from “The Primarchs “: Curze goads the Lion by questioning the loyalty of those left on Caliban, but the Lion doesn't return to check on them. The DA don't know about this, i guess, but it maybe the Night Lords know they have played them and the form of the sacrifice could reflect this.

theres some great suggestions in this thread, but i do have to just point out that you should try to exclude the Black Templars, try limiting it to all FIRST foundings, shouldnt be too hard. Love the idea! i really like the concept and actually considered doing something similar back in the day when i first started playing chaos and was building display dioramas for models id converted/painted! Post Pics please! would love to see it!

Really? Horus betraying Sanguinius' secret and trying to use it to turn him into a disciple of Khorne, causing thousands and thousands of deaths among the Blood Angels legion doesn't give them any particular reason to hate the Sons of Horus?
