Thanks for your kind comments!

To talk a little bit about the board as questioned. Every segment is 30cmx30cm big. The base is made from MDF wood plates. There are smaller segments a 15cmx30cm and 15cmx15cm as well. The segments are completely modular. Looking back, i'm not sure, if i would do it again this way. The street segments are quite wide with 30cm and this makes the board look...well...empty. I still think it looks like a suburb, but not as a city-centre. Maybe Segments 20cmx20cm would have been better. I even think, that a board with a grey surface to place the buildings on it freely would have some advantages. The modular board makes everything look very straight - on a board without street-segments, you could turn the buildungs in every direction. But...well...you can't have everything and at some point of the planning you have to make decisions.

I can spare few time for the hobby now that i started to work, but i hope to keep you updated.
Next part is a rhino-wreck to fill the streets with more line-of-sight-blockers. I created to wrecks of assault pods for the same reason some time ago. They are made to fit to the streets, but they are separate parts and can be placed freely on the board.

You're very skilled, I really like the look of this board. I hope you don't mind if I borrow some of your ideas!

I would be honoured!

So here is the little fella, I've been torturing lately...Greenstuff has to dry now, but there are still some things i would like to add. I realised, that destruction is an art as well. Took a lot of chopping, twisting, breaking, drilling, but I hope, the thing looks nicely shaken now.
I'm planning to paint the wreck in ultramarines-blue and i really would like to use the salt technique for weathering. I don't own an airbrush, but i have read, that some people successfully did the job with a brush. So i might just go for it and try it on a dummy these days...Anyone experiences?

Yeah, I do not currently have an airbrush set up, so I have had to do a lot with just a brush. My suggestion is as follows if you are going for an old wreck...

First, prime with Krylon 'ruddy brown' if you can get it where you are. It is an excellent rusty base color and has just the right amount of 'tooth' for hand painting.

Next, any area that you will have exposed stipple and dry brush with various shades of orange to get the rusted look you want.

After this, take rubber contact cement and stipple around the areas you want exposed. The rubber cement acts as a liquid mask. Do not be afraid to stipple some other random areas as well as you can always touch it up later.

Once the rubber cement is dry, paint your tank with the primary color and other markings. Once this has dried you can then rub the areas with the rubber cement and it will peel off in chips and chunks making a very realistic chipped and damaged paint pattern.

From here you can add scorch marks and staining. To do this start with drybrushing around holes in an upward direction with a dark brown. After that you can feather in black for the worst of the soot deposits. For the staining I tend to start with a rust colored wash followed by a light wash with black.

You say that I am crazy. I say that you are right!

Hopefully you're making some more progress, I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

I'm currently working on a "city" board, and honestly you're mockups are very inspiring. I've been struggling with how to incorporate a river and differing elevations, and you're sketches have given me ideas on how to handle it. I can't wait to see further progress.

Back again!
I haven't posted for quite some time but there is progress.

First of all the Rhino-wreck ist painted. The salt technique worked even without a paint-brush. Painting was a little bit fiddely though and After finishing everything, even the 3D-effects, I tried to copy from a weathering-tutorial elsewhere, I realised, that I'm not too happy with the main colour.
Well, i won't change that now and just leave it this way. Sorry for the poor pictures, It's already dark outside so the light ist not best.

Second, I started to construct a bride. I wanted to use a plastic set like from pegasus games or something alike to do it, but then i thoght of something else. It's not even a complete bridge...only the pillars and colums, but this is just the perfect thing to save modularity even with the river. This way, i can use even only parts of the river and not seperate the whole board with it. I can use it with the normal street-modules on ground-level! I'm very, very happy with this idea. There is still work to be done on the parts. There is even a possibility to place either a statue/monument or a tower in the middle of the bridge. I'll post better pictures and hopefully further progress the next few days.

I'm done witth the bridge and i finieshed the next level of Corynthal...literally!
I'm very happy, that i came that far. I dreamt of this state of the board and wasn't ever sure, if i could reach it. Now i'm a little tired of working on the board and I will probably leave it for some time to come back to it later. Maybe i will use the time for my IG-army, especially with rumored new minis to come!!!
During breaks from the board, I comleted my priest and my Marbo count-as already.
