GK's get their bodies now from Coteaz and allies. The GK dex can still compete solidly though I do feel Dreadknights in threes are almost a requirement.

I do think that PA GK's took a hit but primarily from the Heldrake and now the Tau overall. If basic tau weapons didn't outrange GK's and enable them to get first punch in no matter the deployment it wouldn't be nearly so bad.

That and Eldars general strategy of I got an AP2 for that.

So is anyone else thinking that currently the best way to beat xenos is with xenos? Other armies can get the job done but its just easier with a xenos army that can bring more bodies for cheaper.

It is interesting that the rise of xenos really does make many of the less worthwhile units fantastic takes now.

These have already been mentioned but the whirlwind and griffon are really fantastic as xenos become more popular.

Autocannons are also becoming more useful due to serpent shields.

I am actually really thinking about trying out an eradicator LR for my cover erasing needs.

I have also noticed that LR are becoming more useful as the Tau lost their long range ability to crack it with ease and the eldar still have trouble cracking them at range. Most of these new xenos armies also tend to center around shooting so rushing them with the contents can hurt.

I think rather than power creep we are seeing so many new releases and new build options that the metagame and list building is having trouble keeping up. Lists that were great 2 months ago can now be flattened if they run into the wrong CD, Tau, or CWE in the match ups.
