Yeah that is why I know this well. The new double spinners is just sad. If it was assault 4 it would be excellent.

Yeah I found the screw up, my army builder has the profile for the death spinner at assault 4 for some reason, I compared to the codex and codex just is assault 2 like the rest of them, so, you're right the exarch is useless.!! Points saved YAY

Tell me about it mate. Got some DA exarchs with twin shuriken catapults in the same boat. Do the people who write the game not understand the rules or something? TL guns on an already BS5 model is just not a huge increase.

I personally would leave the shard of anaris off the farseer.

IMO a 40pt weapon is not worth it for a guy with one (or two if he has two weapons) attack.

A lot of the reason for that is the fearless special rule, + it doesnt hurt to be able to instakill HQ's in challenges

Try a Fast Shot Spinneret Rifle, guaranteed AP1 can come in handy for smaller squads.

Generally yes. It allows a small Warp Spider squad to be versatile in what they can credibly threaten. The 3 AP1 shots will allow them to take on Terminators, MEQ's etc. whilst still retaining their anti-tank functionality. Plus, they're relentless so they can still assault after firing the Rifle if need be.

ill have to give it a try, seems interesting, they are already decent at killing terminators but I could see how the effectiveness vs them with the rifle would be much greater.

To follow up on Iranna,

The spinneret Rifle+fast shot exarch is extra deadly since the exarch is a character, meaning you can choose your target on 6s.

Vs infantry: in a torrent of s6/7 shots with no AP (unless they rend! But wound on 2s anyway), being able to choose where that AP1 goes can be huge.

Vs MCs: The AP1 is the most likely to wound. It is also pinning. Being able to pin that Riptide or Dreadknight is huge.

Lastly, despite it being rapid fire, you can still assault. Jet pack = relentless.
