LD 10 rerollable isn't as great as it is cracked up to be. I've seen a Pendant lord run down by ungor. I think that putting a Slann anywhere near combat is just a risky idea considering the current popularity of WoC. Nurgle Warriors will eat their way through a light, and more than likely a life buffed unit too.

See the post above this reply for the maths.

You seem to have not factored in Cold Blooded. Also, Nurgle Warriors can have fun chewing through either a I10, WS10, S5 armour piercing or T8 regenning armour piercing unit of S5 killing machines with 2 attacks a piece with free attacks for every 6. All that unit has to do is stand there and survive for other units (Carnosaurs, Cold Ones, other Saurus blocks, Stegadons) to come in.

Hammer and Anvil. One of the most basic tactics in the game. If you want to throw big units of Nurgle warriors into a meatgrinder feel free. If it's a Life Slann they simply won't care as they can just regrow the unit over and over again.

I've gone through life buffed temple guard with corsairs, and I didn't have mindrazor at the time. I was using death.

It took me two rounds, And I didn't even lose frenzy.

Congrats? You rolled lucky dice? Well done?

Statistically S3 or S4 elves aren't going to do much to a T6/T8 block with a 4+ save and a 5+ regen on it.

I never said how many times. And there was a point to that post, which I forgot to include.

Using Nurgle halberd warriors, all he has to do is stop the I10 WS10 spell, or thrones, and the temple guard are dead. Which is why I don't think they're that good a choice. Against 90% of the game, they'll fail, because most of the game is built around dealing with things like mournfang.

Then you got incredibly lucky. Anyone rolling a bunch of 6s can swing a combat. That doesnt change how good a unit is. I've had 10 Knights charge 20 Goblins and the 6 that survived fled the field... Does that mean Goblins are better than Knights in combat?

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

Temple guard with wyssians beats damn near anything....................

16 strength 6 attacks with potential for 11-16 more coming at you (depending on how you play pred. fighter).

Toughness 5, 3+ armor stubborn block with on average 5 ranks, full command, and a BSB.

Not to mention you should never be hitting this group at full strength since it wont be in the front line and you will have already had to fight through other stuff first.

As much as i agree that Temple Guard are boss, its only 3+ from shooting attacks, as they lose the ability to use the shield in combat because the halberd is two handed.
