The figure must be as WYSIWIG as possible but you can do count's as. Tiggy pretty much needs a staff and thats it. Vulkan you'll have to show the flamer, but anything else can be count's as.

How would you suggest trying to incorporate the flamer as not a gun? Mount it on the wrist? That might be doable...

I really think it depends on your army composition.
Sallies, Iron Hands, and Ultramarines all offer great CTs for drop pod lists, but you have to build the army around it (ie Iron Clads for IH and the like).

Most individuals are saying that ironclads are not worth the points of slot. I beg to defer but then again I have only gone up against them not utilize them.

I think Ironclads are great, but the army has to be built to include them rather than just dropping them into an army. They have a turn after the drop that they need to try and survive in, so you have to make sure you provide enough threats and/or support that every Melta and Fist isn't going to wail on them the minute they land.
