What constitutes "good art" is entirely in the eye of the beholder. Most of the pieces presented so far are "commercial art", meaning that the artist was contracted to produce images of a certain type, with a certain theme, in a certain style, for the use of a commercial venture (such as a bookcover, as it makes it more eye-catching on the shelf, and thus potentially increases sales) in exchange for monetary compensation.
There are many people who would not consider this "art" but, instead, "business". Less-forgiving artists might call it "corporate-shilled gak", but I am not such a one.
But, on to da artz!
An Inquisitrix in a pretty-blinged suit of
PA. Yes, it's from a SOB art blog, but she's got more =I='s than she does fleurs, so I'm thinking she is either one of those rare Sisters who gets taken up to be an
Inq, or she is an
Inq of the Ordo Hereticus and has badges of honor commenting on her service alongside the Daughters of the Emperor.
Very good use of light and shadow to set the feel of a
40K cathedral,
IMO...
Possibly NSFW... highlighting some of the extreme religious devotions of the Adepta Sororitas. Though it is not reserved to them alone, this is actually still practiced in some religious sects in the modern world, and was fairly common centuries back....
Come to Chaos! We have cupcakes!
I should probably reserve this one for a more-timely use... but, nah...
I like this one for its in-universe appropriateness, combined with the fact that it's a real-world parody...
What are you doing?
Oh, just flamering a Greater Daemon, no big deal. What you up to?
