6 months for an FAQ is a long time, a change might be coming, or they might be happy with how things work. Time will tell.

But there is a lot of assumption that the chariot is somehow "incorrect" and requires a house-rule. There's also a chance this might not be the case and it works as intended. Only GW knows (well, we hope they know).

Id there were other faqs which werent slight corrections recently I would agree but there hasnt been any meaningful faq for ages.

The burning chariot can still be usable in friendly games if you get 2 lesser rewards (assault shooting or wapon) and actually use the chariot for assaults.
You get a long charge range, lots of hits from both rider and how, and with some luck you end up ready to torrent the enemy come your next turn.
Not a solid tactics, i agree, but the unit has been of surprising use to me (if it survive first turn)

You are not locked in combat, so if you survive the assault you can fire next turn either way.

My area plays Fiends of Slaanesh stack for the -1 Psyker Leadership. So I've been tempted to make a list using a bunch of Fiends, Blue Horror upgraded Chariots with +1 Ether Blade,, and Hounds. A lot of targets that are fast, and would be funny against psyker heavy lists. More of a rock/paper/scissors list, but a unexpected one.
