Magos: Thanks mate! I can definitely see the improvements over the Panther in every aspect, especially with the fading of the paint. Oh and the T-55 weighed around 36 tonnes , so I am glad that my painting adds extra weight ! (if you get what I mean)

Hi everyone,
Well project T-55 is now finished, and what a relief, the overall paint scheme is meant to represent a tank that has been sitting in a bone yard for a couple of years, and as such I have rusted the barrel. What do you all think? I definitely need to get a new camera as my current camera is not picking up the mud on the running gear, oh well such is life . Still am trying to decide what to do as my next project, do you guys have any thoughts?

Thanks for looking, Tech!

Onwards and upwards, I have started my new build!

When I went to the Victorian hobby center yesterday I only had one kit on my mind, and that was the Meng T-90 kit, but unfortunately for me they were out of stock. So I decided to have a look around at the new kits that they had got in, and boy was I pleased to see that they had Meng's new Leopard 1 in store. I immediately bought the kit and went home and started building, I finished all of the hull last night. After reading Chris Jarret's blog last night I was inspired by his winter leopard, and so I thought that I would also have a go at a West German leopard in a winter wash scheme. Here is where I am at:

I didn't realize just how big the leopard 1 was in comparison to Soviet designs of the same time period, as you can see the hull of the leopard is almost taller than the T-55

Sorry in advance for the crappy photo's that I have taken of the WIP leopard but I took them with my phone. Here is also some pictures of Chris Jarret's Leopard, just so you can get an idea of the overall scheme:

Well after a slight hiatus from building and painting, I am back with my built leopard 1A4. The build was not too difficult on the side of the kit from Meng, however, the voyager metal barrel was an absolute pain in the a$$ to assemble. I have yet to assemble the fruilmodel tracks, but they will come soon! Any way onto the pics:

Hi everyone I am back from a long hiatus from the forums. Yesterday and Today, I attended a painting competition known as the golden Barry's, it was tremendous fun. My first entry was a JS-2 that I painted a number of weeks ago, fairly happy with it! My second entry was a speed painting entry that was painted over the course of the two days, that being the dust tactics SSU heavy red commando. The JS-2 won gold in the vehicle category and the red commando did not place, which was a shame, but that was mostly due to the absence of a red star to break everything up .

What do you all think, red star or no red star?
