At first I didn't like that you lost all the ammo in you mag when you reloaded...but I actually enjoy it now. It's a new feeling for me to constantly pay attention to your ammo capacity, instead of mindlessly reloading after shooting a couple rounds.

That's actually not something which is supposed to be happening. It is for the "Hardcore" game mode but got slipped into the beta build.

It's annoying as hell and really needs to go. Even with a support throwing ammo boxes(not bags, but boxes) it is problematic when using things like the XM25 or DMRs as both of those weapons are actually losing not just the remainder of a clip, but 25% of the reloaded clip as well.

Nope I like that actually. Because its more realistic. Granted, this is a video game and Im being murdered by super pistol shooters, still, I like that aspect a lot

It's an interesting mechanic. One that is usually left out of most games but I usually enjoy it when it is in a game. Makes things a bit more interesting.

It's not that unusual. Ghost Recon has used a similar mechanic for years now, where you can reload early but once you run out of 'full' magazines(about 5-6 reloads) you start getting your old magazines back.

As it stands now it's less realism and more annoyance for certain types of weapons.

Arma 3 does the concept properly where you actually keep the Magazine with its ammo count. Once you have run out of full mags you then start to use the next most full magizine until you run out.

I don't particularly care about the realism as much as it makes the gameplay a bit less 'Run around blasting stuff' and a bit more team orientated... or at least slows it down a bit.

I think i'd prefer this.

It doesn't do that at all. It just encourages some camping and ammo bags/boxes everywhere.

Exactly it's great, people clump up for and then boom. Grenades everywhere!

I can't speak to the 360, but I just tried out the PC beta for a bit last night, and...I dunno. Control doesn't feel anywhere near as precise, though maybe I just need to muck around with settings.

Reload glitch.....yea I see it now. I started using the shotgun on an engineer and LOVE it. PRoblem is, the damn thing runs out of ammo like holy gak fast. Why? Because it SAYS I have 36 rounds starting out, yet when I reload, I swear the game reloads 6 shots, for every 1. So yea, I run the shotgun dry REAL fast

So I was told by various people (like Kanluwen) that this game might have the option to make your soldier in multiplayer a woman-- any truth to that?

Given my ambivalence about generic modern-setting shooters at the moment, it would probably influence whether or not I wanted to get this game. Just kind of tired of the setting in general, not much has been done with it despite how many games there have been.

It is essentially "grab a neutral bomb and take it into the enemy base".

I was wrong Mel. Looks like that's not in.

Ah well. Wasn't originally planning on buying BF4 anyway.

You have to use the Server Browser and set the filter for "Obliteration".

Quick Match still only has Domination and Conquest.

Ahhhhhhhh Ill have to check that out later then.

I scored 100 kills with a shotgun earlier, and got a star for it, and thought "Well lets switch things up a bit" So now Im running an assault, and I have to say, after getting good with murdering with a shotgun, man that AK12 seems like such an amazing killing rifle

Does anyone know any fixes to stop the graphics suffering random spikes and feeling generally laggy?
Im running a Factory overclocked 7970 and a 6 core Fx6300 processer so I fail to see why I cant even run the game smoothly at the lowest settings :/

I think its everyone duder, I see that kindda crap on the 360 pretty often. Infact, earlier it was so bad I was shot THROUGH one of the bridges when I was under it, and stabbed to death through a wall, that that one made me laugh pretty hard. Also, many times Ill be killed, while unloading on the baddy, only to see that their health wasnt touched by a point blank shotgun blast. OH! and the 360 freezing every 40ish minutes would be a rough guess.

So yea.....

I was just surprised that the didn't have the party system ready for the beta. Its a pain sometimes getting all of our friends into the same game sometimes.

It's actually not.

If you're playing on the 360, hit left stick when at the Multiplayer menu(where you see "QUICK MATCH") and it refreshes to show you what server your friends are on. You can then join on them by highlighting the server and hitting 'A'.

When you join if you are not on the same team, it will continually attempt to autobalance you to your friend's team and squad.

I always get jammed into a waiting list. that never ends. I suppose that may come down to my net a bit more though I suppose. Thanks for the heads up though Kanluwen. Didn't know about that. I guess I just miss the Pre-Game party up

Im SERIOUSLY thinking about putting a preorder in for BF4. Even with the demo being buggy as all get out, Im still REALLY enjoying myself with this game.

On that note, Ive bee trying to use the SCAR, as its better than the AK12, but ermagawd the irons on this thing are total gak. I just unlocked the reflex sights which are better than irons by a long shot, but still not nearly as good as the other sights that I cant think of the name of. How do I unlock those ones?? Because those super sights are fantastic!

Just use the gun, it'll level up after a while and things like the Reflex Sight, Acog and 6x sight.
To be honest, I'll be getting it on pc or on my Xbox One. The PS3 and Xbox 360 version looks awefull and loads of stuff is toned down so far that half the objects are missing from the game.

Poor ignorant guardsmen, it be but one of many of the great miracles of the Emperor! The Emperor is magic, like Harry Potter, but more magic! A most real and true SPACE WIZARD! And for the last time... I'm not a space plumber.

Im more than likely getting it for the 360. Im not buying an Xbone and my PC would laugh at me for just sticking the disc into its tray, let alone try and install in

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

The beta is good, but after this I'm definitely waiting for ps4. The sniper rifles feel better to me, as do the pistols, I already have all the unlocks for the p226. I really like the XM25 Airburst, I just wish it came with more ammo. The dust needs to be scaled back for sure, otherwise, It's gorgeous! The really big downside for me was finding out that the falling skyscraper was a scripted event, that, and 24 players seemed way to small. I'll buy the game around christmas probably.

There is a Support unlock which is not present in the beta build which actually lets you carry more ammo for the XM25. Plus the XM25 suffers from the reload bug, meaning you lose ammo when you reload.

The falling skyscraper is not actually a scripted event.

Find an empty server. Locate the four pillars(on PS3/360--on PC there are more than 4 pillars) on the side facing out to sea and using a tank or RPG fire at each pillar twice. It takes two shots per pillar for either the RPG or tank to render a pillar ineffective and cause the building to collapse.
