I'm doubtful someone went and coloured a black and white picture (which would be a fairly hard job) in his spare time to piss people off.

Okay, seems I was wrong on that claim (was actually another artist on deviantart http://1mpact.deviantart.com/art/HoC-p128-Arbitrator-292394769), however lets take into account this. If the guy is lying, then he took the time to colour every detail of the image in a believable colour. In other words, he is going above and beyond his duty as a troll to impose a masterful ruse upon us, which would take several hours, if not days to do.

You obviously forgot the 'playtest' rules prior to 6th edition launching that everyone was convinced were real because no one would put that much work into a fake...

Hah, I still have those rules printed in a binder. It would be fun to play a game with them again.

Sorry appereantly it was on heresy-online

by zion

This original image is by an artist who has done some art for GW before: http://1mpact.deviantart.com/#/art/Bers-370495987?hf=1

So this is possibly a real cover, or someone got very creative and took the time to color the original art to make this.

Like I said, take with a LOT of salt until we can learn more.

I would love to see something significant for Khorne based armies to get, such as all their transports becoming assault vehicles, or rules to allow them advantages while charging.

A Khorne army without some kind of melee advantage really shouldn't even be contemplated at all.

For this to be worth more than the steam off my piss, they need to find a way for Space Marines to actually get into combat without using bikes or jump packs.

Now if they have some sort of special Rhino rules that allow them to ramshackle towards the enemy when those 7 Wave Serpents light them up turn 1, then great! But Drop Pods aren't doing anything if all you can put in them are Berzerkers. And being able to charge out of Drop Pods would be pretty impossible to balance I think.

I would love... LOVE if GW found a way to make assaulting Marines viable on the table top without bikes or TDA and Storm Shields. But I don't think the Digital team have shown anything that game changing in any of their supplements so far.

Some artists do actually like to make art. I know I've colored enough that several hours is hardly a big deal, doubt it took longer than that. Also it's not a really hard job, if you know how

Adding an additional Riptide is less changing the tourney scene, since it's just another riptide.

Just another riptide oh dear, ovessa and the earth caste pilot array are not just "another riptide", tau allied with tau are what is wining at the moment and the enclaves book did this, that's a massive change caused by a supplement, inquisition will more than likely have more of an impact but not in the same way

Farsight Enclaves allowed you to add a Riptide to another Riptide. That build lasted about as long as 9 Broadsides did just as soon as White Scars came out.

Inquisitors just allows you to ally in Coteaz on top of another ally. Again, nothing fundamentally different. It isn't as big as resurrecting infantry assault Marines as a viable option

These digital editions by their very nature as just collages of existing things allowed to be put together in different ways. If you're lucky you will get a new exciting relic that is worth sacrificing the main Codex ones to access.

However when it comes to fluff and new background material I think these digital books are absolutely brilliant.

So I just saw the "Prepare for the arms race" thing on the GW website... it was Imperial Forces facing down a Khorne force advancing in on them... could this rumor actually be true? If it is.. color me surprised and... well, I would say excited, but the current state of Supplements tells me to just sit back and wait for the anger... could be cool.

The arms race thing is about taking super heavies in normal 40K games, it is said. And the Khornemower (shown in the teaser clip) is the only non-Imperial super heavy released (right?), so I think it has got more to do with that, than that there's a Khorne supplement coming. Just a nice little coincidence, if I get to guess.

I still think that the Khorne force in the teaser vid is just a coincidence though.

I'm inclined to agree, but there is one slight oddity.

The November issue of White Dwarf also made mention of three Khornate digital editions slated to come out.
-a "Warlords" focused upon Kharn the Betrayer
-"Index Chaotica" for a Khorne Lord of Skulls
-"Index Chaotica" for a Helbrute

I've got to go with Faeit on this. Real supplement (BTW we have recycled art from FF and BL all over the 6th edition releases) but not real rules or models. IF Khorne gets DPs for CSM, I'll flip out. All they need is make a vehicles assault and we're done.
