Not every super heavy is a horrible monster to deal with either. I have a malcador defender tank. Its biggest weapon is a hull mounted defiler cannon. It has lascannon sponsons and then 5 heavy bolters in a pillbox like superstructure without a turret. It will be nasty against swarm armies with all those heavy bolters, but against other super heavies isn't that great a threat. It is also an "old" style of super heavy so isn't as robust or capable as other super heavies either. I really liked its old styling and age linked rules because it plays like some old mothballed front line tank that was broken out of storage in an emergency, which is what it is.

I have a shadowswoard in my closet still boxed until I finally decide which version I want to make out of it...
I am wondering if escalation will bring with it a rise in the baseline points level of games to be able to better include super heavies. Any kind of superheavy in a standard 1500 point list is going to eat up a lot of points indeed.
