Only if the Dark Eldar don't have enough anti-tank to cause three glancing/penetrating hits to AV12. AV12 is a sore spot for lances, but even they can manage that.

Right, so if they are packing enough lances to use 27 shots to take down the shields they orobably dont have poison to spare.
In order to shoot down all 9 you need 3 ravagers, 3 units of blaster born and 6 raiders/blaster wielding squads of 5the in venoms.

Doable, easily but look at all the wasted shots. From the 9 venoms 72 shots, 48 hits, 24 wounds. Much better than taking 27 lances also.
DE always beat my nids anyway but it's just nice to know that if even 1 shield survives my guys are safe from poison

I honestly think tha macro cannon and the other fortress are crazy for games. That missile can fire every turn for up to 7 missiles and each one forms a strength d bubble that will just move around and kill your opponent so long as you don't roll doubles for it's scatter.
With the ability for so many bunkers and bastions imperial fists having a bonus to building damage might just really stand out. But I highly doubt most armies will invest to much into terrain. Investing so much into terrain makes your army less flexible to go out and grab objectives.

Ah, you're purchasing 3 void shield generators. That's at least 340 points, but I suppose it would be enough to make a difference on your first turn. You know, assuming that Fortification Networks are allowed in your gaming setting.

If they all go down, 3 should come back the next turn. We're going to have to analyse the points of models lost over the course of a game and compare it to 340. I argue it would be more costly to not take the voids than it would to keep the models.

...maybe. I think I like the idea of fielding 3 of them more than a single generator. I'll think about it.

Am I missing something here?
Void Shield Upgrade.
You're joking, right? Even with 100 points spent on three void shields, that's just asking the opponent to use the rest of his firepower to kill a chimera before firing his D-weapon on the Macro Cannon. The thing is going to die no matter what you do to protect it.
So what your saying here is that bullets kill things? I would have never guessed that, also, if they have a d weapon I'm sure the macro cannon could take care of it if it was given the chance or a different thing can kill the enemies D Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh woops just realized that I was a page late on that quote

If AV 12 is a sore spot for Lances, then what is the point in ever taking lances(Since they downgrade AV13+14 to 12)?
If you are worried about not getting the most out of your Lances rules you would hate to Fight half my armies(all AV12 or less or No AV at all)

What's everyone's view on the ammo storage upgrade for buildings. As most bastions and buildings are medium buildings they can hold 20 models. Not all models can fire out obviously but just saying if I took the WoM bunker and had 20guardsmen inside with 2 autocannons and 2 plasma guns, 8 of those guys could shoot out of the building, would it be worth the 15pt upgrade to reroll 1" to hit?

Quick question as i dont has the book.
The additional components like WoM sections. are they considered terrain or fortification?
Would any of those be effected by tech marine bolster?

I believe so.
Certain units within a normal bastion(cleverly deployed diagonally) make it worthwhile there too
15 points for 1/36 overheat chance is better than Twin linked, and the additional re-roll on 16.666% of shots Is nice as well, getting better as your BS increases.

Good question I will have to look into that. I'm certain that it will count as a fortification but I will have to reread the book when I'm out if work.

From what I see the WoM trench line parts are counted as battle field debris(defence lines) I do not have the BrB on me but I would assume it would clarify what that is in there.

Well, Space Marine Tech Marines (and I'd assume DA Tech Marines) won't be able to , it says they can't bolster terrain purchased as part of your army.
