Is the shield 25% obscured? You can't see it, so how can you determine this?

It is not a model and there is no way to determine if it is ever 25% obscured as has no physical presence. There is nothing that allows it a cover save.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

I am fine either way but your logic is extremely fuzzy.

You argue from one side that it doesn't make sense to use the unit's cover save as the void shield would take the shot at a different position then discount the fact that not being able to see the unit and missing due to such doesn't make sense as the points cost is too low? Was any of that actually based on RAW?

I think I will personally go with the void shield cannot have cover as it cannot be obscured by 25% of more...seeing as it is invisible and doesn't actually exist. Though it would actually make sense for it to be affected by nightfighting - shrouded.

Blast weapons Can hit units out of LOS, you just Said that a cover save based on original target was most likely. Therefore i adressed that statement.
Cover save vs nightfighting, no. You Pick a target, it has to be within 36" if you dont have any Night fighting cancelling options. You shoot, your shots hit a barrier instead, if you penetrate your aimed shots continue to The target you were firing at.
You get a bonus to cover save when it is Night, because targets are that much harder to see.

I dont think my Logic is fuzzy, if you look at it from a realistic (as Can be) point of view.

@Fossing
So take my 24"+ ruins between the void shield and the firing unit. Logically that should definitely give a cover save as it literally blocks shots from making it to their target (the void shield)

I think I will go with what seems to be the majority opinion (including me) that the shield cannot be 25% obscured because it cannot be seen in the first place.

Could be off with Night Fighting, just doesnt make sense if i try and imagine the event.

Yes well, also the void shield is not a unit so would be hard to argue for any kind of saves.
