When I saw this thread was about Australia, I thought it was going to be something awesome about Australia, and I was going to be able to post about how I'm not much of one for travel but I've always, always wanted to visit Australia.

But now if I do it just implies that I'm into incest so.... maybe I'll just keep that to myself.

Keep that your into incest, to yourself?

That really is a secret you only share with family...

Australia is a great place, but there are places on the periphery that collect some really strange sorts. We've had more than our share of whackjob cults and crazy family sects.

Seriously, Adelaide or NSW? They're obviously originally from Tasmania. They all have two heads down there.

Tasmania and my home state of WA have all the inter-married cousins, but it's all above board

But when you go looking for horror stories about groups living outside of the gaze of regular society and getting up to some really crazy gak, then it seems to me to always coming from outer Adelaide or rural NSW.

It's like if you hear about a crazy person who's shunned from society, you know it won't be Queensland because up there they embrace their crazies

To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

In all seriousness, Melbourne is among the best cities in the world.

Huzzah for Palmer and his crazy obsession with Jurassic Park and Titanic! Hurrah for Steve Irwin and his awesomeness (R.I.P)

There are some crazies we can't stand, though...
