The only limitation is the servo skulls cannot be placed in the opponent's deployment zone. They also don't affect deployment just infiltrate and scout.

Yep. Obviously if you place them within 6" of your opponent's models, I gather they would be removed as soon as the game begins (which may well be after they have served their purpose of stopping his scout moves)

Behind you...

If someo e is stood on the dge of the void sheild and is charged by a squad that ended up outside the buble... would the squad inside the bubble get the AV12 because they are taking hits from outside the bubble when they are in?

It specifically says shooting attacks.

Love these fields, best thing GW has added to the game in years

I agree. Now I would like to see a giant squiggoth with a void shield generator on it's back...is that copyright protected by Lucas Films?

I've always greatly dislike Fortifications, but this seems like it will be useful.

So, just to clarify (As I said, never used Forts before) you can plonk it down near the half-mark of the table and it provides an artificial 'vehicle' of AV12 to anything shot within it that breaks from the first glance or pen?

What classifies as being in it? is it like, a 24" range from one of the Networks?

I enjoy running Trukks too, and if this keeps them in the game longer then I may find myself building one soon.

@ansacs - That is a glorious idea. I'd be more drawn to a giant Battlewagon with massive Tesla coils though

The Eldar Cobra is the perfect counter to this. A 7" D pie plate that ignores all active void shields? Yes! Please cram all your units under that shield!

Don't worry mate, I've posted up a helpful memory jogger to assist you in remembering the rules present in the supplement you legally purchased. You can find it at the start of the thread. If you wish to discuss the specifics on good void shield deployment some more, feel free to send me a PM and we can talk about how best to utilize these models

Gaaaay. Why the feth does this even exist?

To be honest, Orks can't beat a flying superheavy like this, void shields or not. So why worry?

And if someone *really* wants to win against this, just model your void shields as an enormous underground parking lot type structure, giving 100% LoS blocking against units in the air. Your move Mr Cobra.

on the forum. Obviously

Because for some reason, GW decided to make Eldar Super Heavies ridiculously powerful. I think nearly every SHV they have packs a Titan Killer. Cheap too - the Cobra is less than 700 points.

The cobra is a fast skimmer, not a flyer. So your Orks have a better chance than you would think, even without making a giant LoS blocking shield.

So how would a KoS army with this actually fare against loldar titan or any of the popular armies that exist now?

Am seriously thinking of trying these for my Necron warriors and Immortals as they have no invoulnerable saves and get shelled out of exsistance on a regular bases, lol. Not sure how it will work but played with a Space Marine player against Chaos and had no complaints.

My basic weapon can destroy your most advanced tank! I will still loose, but it will be entertaining!

I actually have no idea why I thought this was a flyer. Our best chance against it would be the usual Kustom Stompa, 2x Kill Burstas, filled with meks - he can d-blast our trukks or our stompa but not both

I imagine they may do ok. Trukks major weakness wasn't their low numbers but that huge vulnerability to second turn. I still wouldn't try to pit this against three riptides or whatever though.

It's "target unit" inside the shield so any unit with a model inside the shield's range, counts as a unit in the shield fun times for orks indeed

Why do I hear conga music
