Its basically a standard MMO with highly flexible 'classes' and slightly more involved quests.

Im starting to get annoyed. Like half the games I bought went on sale for half the price I bought them for within a week after I bought them.

If anyone is interested, The Sims 3 and its expansion packs are 60% off, so you can get the full game and a few expansion packs for a little over what you'd be prepared to pay full RRP for.

Wow. $211.81 for all the Sims DLC. Awesome job EA.

Still, it could be worse. It could be Train Simulator 2014 DLC. There's over $1000 of that gak, and that's with most of it 40%-60% off!

PC. The modding scene makes the game considerably better, and not just from added content. The interface mods alone make it a better game.

After messing around with the PC version, I'd have to say it all depends on your machine. The game runs slightly choppy on mine, and it tends to make it unplayable for me. I'd rather have a smooth game on the console, then a prettier but choppier game on the PC.

If it's the same as the browser game was I played a demo of a while back it was alright.

Cool premise, meh execution at the time. Seems they've fixed a few things that weren't working in the demo when I tried it. The game revolved around squads of 4 or so guys trying to capture and defend territory. Each guy had a special ability that he could use to help out. One guy was more accurate with a rifle, you had an LMG gunner, a grenadier, and an officer if I remember correctly.

Just bought it. At the very least, maybe it'll encourage other developers to look at that time period more. For $8.50 I'm willing to buy it and give it a chance.

I picked up the Wargame set.

I haven't been dropped this far into the deep-end since I tried to play X3.

No tutorial option that I can see, nothing is explained, nothing appears to actually happen, no indications of anything...

Err, what are you trying to do in Wargame, and which one are you playing-- European Expansion, or AirLand Battle?

I can give you a tutorial.

EE.

Well, I did the first campaign mission and that went fairly well.

I then tried a skirmish mission and at the 5min mark, the AI team suddenly won out of nowhere. Apparently he'd killed 1650pts of my stuff (all of which was currently alive) in a game where I'd specified army points of 1500...

It was all fairly okay until then. It was just "suddenly, you lose" in a destruction match.

So tutorial-wise, I think I pretty much need everything.

Hm. I have ALB installed ,but not EE. If you can install ALB and PM me, I'll go through some skirmish with you. I haven't touched the campaign; skirmish with friends is the only thing that I care about in this game.

It has its similarities, but it has far, FAR more depth, balance, and replayability.

ALB is the one that has actual planes that are realistically portrayed, one of the only games to manage to do so that isn't a sci-fi game that can hand-wave it (no, I'm not talking about starcraft, I meant the TA/SupCom series ).

Yeah, one of the things that put me off Skyrim is that there is no ending. I don't like it when games don't end. It's not even a free play mode, like in Brutal Legend. It just...continues.
