Been Around the Block

Shadowrun, followed by shadowrun, more shadowrun, Mage Knight, dnd, going to get a few games of 40k and fantasy in at the local in the next few days, played blood bowl last night and a few sessions of dark heresy ascension on the weekend. ended up destroying a city under a dome by accident so now need to switch the characters to rogue trader system in order to run from the inquisition then change to GURPS if they get to the mecha workshop and jump into titans so that'll be fun

I got 2 games of 40k in on sunday (the DZ player didn't show up so it was double 40k). Both against Tau. Won at 1750 with SM/IG/Inq combo, drew at 1000 (in a complete bloodbath of a game) with mech SM. At the end of the second game, the only troops left were 7 tactical marines 4" from an objective, and 1 fire warrior with nerves of steel (I tried to recruit him to the IG). Safe to say, the game was drawn on secondaries, with FB and STW against FB and linebreaker.

I've also learned that Riptides aren't as scary as the internet makes out, that mech+pod SM are awesome, and that Inquisitors require far more finesse to get the most out of them.

I've also started playing Skyrim again on the console front.

Looking forward, I hope to get another 40k and hopefully DZ game in this weekend.

Yesterday was board game night at the local library. I got to play Euphoria and Boss Monster for the first time. I enjoyed both games, but found Euphoria to be a bit cumbersome.

Played the 4th scenario from the 3rd "module" of the Rise of the Runelords for Pathfinder adventure card game last night. It's the one where you have to gather allies faster than the monster does using a 1d4 bottom cards from a random location mechanic. It was GO GO GO! fun times!
