I have been finding them a little bit moar durable in 6th.
In 5th 3 penatrating Hits usaly meant 3 dead Land Spedeers.
Now it usualy means one dead and with -1 HP.

I am a Furry that plays with little Toy Soldiers; if you are taking me too seriously I am not the only one with Issues.

Squadroning is better in 6th then it was in 5th.

But you are still better off flying solo if you have the spare FOC slots.

well you should get used to them, since they are a HQ of choice after your "primary" HQ. Pretty important.
If you just HAVE to avoid libbys, take a techmarine instead. 15 Pts cheaper, but otherwise mostly useless then.

Libby's are pretty important in 6th, and are almost the first name on the 'team sheet' for most armies! Of course you can choose not it take them, but it's worth some research and reading on them, they're brilliant.

As for them being your first vehicle, that makes them a little more risky as it means any opponents anti armour will be tanking for them, BUT, they are more survivable in 6th, I'd take them as singles, but you do risk giving up first blood! Not terrible, but means you need to make sure you can make two VP's back at least!

You sought to cower behind your walls, weakling? Instead, by the will of Khorne, you shall die behind them

I used a pair of Typhoons and a Storm with scouts this past weekend. This is my third time since 6th came out using the Typhoons and all times even keeping them back at the 36-48" mark they get blown apart with no real effect in game. They are deadly when the dice are in your favor and your opponent knows this, but they are also easy targets and victory points and it takes very little to swat them down. That and mine seem to fail to do anything, I couldn't even glance a hammerhead with two of them on Saturday before my opponent conceded at the end of turn 3, when the more effective portions of my army actually did something. I am not sure I would use them again if I play that army(selling the army soon) again, they aren't even good point fillers IMO.

Storms on the other hand now that they are dedicated transport are great. My team wiped out a pathfinder squad with the heavy flamer and immobilized a Hammerhead(the same one the Typhoons refused to touch, out of 8 shots they only attempted to penetrate maybe 3 times). I highly recommend Storms. In 5th edition a Storm/scout team won more than a couple games for me.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!
