That oughta cause quite a buzz. I could care less, because I'm getting crushed no matter what I play against anyway

Huh? That doesn't make sense.

I was at septembers and there were a few 3 wraithknight with a riptide to boot armies. I normally find that out if 120 gamers there are only 10-20 cheesey lists. I just don't know how many people will take advantage of macro cannons etc. d weapons have no place in 1500 points. On the other hand if you take one down its 3 more victory points and a third to half their army gone with generally weak stuff left. My bikes should be mobile enough to get round the back of most super heavies and then I need to rely on them not being able to use their huge blast weapons as they would clip themselves.

Morning guys,

WOW what a throne of skulls that was. 108 players and only 12 Super heavies. (I managed to avoid them). One guy had a c'tan (nasty as hell) plus a macro cannon.........TFG...........2 revanant titans which fought each other on the last round, turn 1 of player 1 and it was finished....

I played in order

Sons of Guiliman and got a close win. James is a studio painter for GW and you can see his space wolves in the codex and scars in the 5th ed codex.
Ravengaurd and ended up with 1 serg running around doing nothing. Adam ended up passing me his cursed tin of dice as I was the only person who lost to them. (he beat a necron flyer list with 7 scythes with new dice)
Grey Knights was a win for me although to be fair to James he has only been playing for a few months and was a great opponent.
Iyanden list with an Avatar scared the hell out of me initially but the Scars prevailed ad took the victory after Kor'sarro heroically/stupidly charged the wraithknight and made 3 inv saves 1st round but got squished in round 2. .......not without stabbing the WK's foot with a 6 causing an instant death that failed inv. DOUBLE WARLORD DEATH
Final game was Chris Paynes Ultramarines. After a long scrappy battle I handed victory to Chris before game end as I was silly and getting wound up (If you read this Chris then I apologise if I seemed off. I was upset with myself and needed to stop playing) but indeed it was a good game and Chris went on to win best Marine player (doffs hat)

So 3 out of 5 was not a bad result. Would I do anything different????? Nah it was all good and really enjoyable.

Some photos of the battles are below and when I get some time tonight/tomorrow I will put some photos on of my huuuuugggggeeeee Forge World box with lots of goodies (you know about the Thunderhawk but I went a bit FW crazy) that will see me running multiple threads. Marines, Tyranids, Chaos and 30k..........

C&C as always guys

I played Adam in round 1 – his dice were horrible to him. The first shot of the game my biovore landed on his captain, 2 wounds, double 1. Very nice guy, took the loss in good spirits.

Alex, they no longer use swiss pairing at ToS - at the start of day 2 in novembers event I was sat on 1 win, 1 draw and a loss. I was paired against a mass Warp Spider Eldar jet bike list who had tabled his first 3 opponents.

Do it for Norwich too! I have more faith in you succeeding than the football team!

Team Norwich punched above their weight! Tay took best army and best single miniature and I took best army list (a nice surprise - I didn’t know there was an award for that!).

My Armorcast monsters were incredibly popular with other players and visitors, and all my games bar one went down the last few minutes, in part due to me fielding questions about what was in my army. My perception is that the rumours about them stamping down on anything non-GW were clearly overdone. For example, one of our chaps brought an RTB01 army with a scratch-built spherical drop pod, and the guys running the event loved it. It was in-theme, clearly tied to the background, he’d done is best to make it look cool. I think one player was told to paint his Carnifex head or it wouldn’t be allowed back the next day.

Thanks for the report. Glad to see that not too many people brought the superheavies!

They are ok with scracth builds and greenstuff conversions It seems they only dislike other companies model pieces. I used GS for my nids in September and my cousin used Scibor sheilds for his spartans and was not allowed to take part.....

No, I wouldn't expect Scibor et al. parts to be allowed in future. My Astral claws are covered in Scibor bits, and I wouldn't take them there again for that reason.
