My experience of Slugga Boyz this edition : completely useless against anything 'cept the one time they killed half a daemon army when some nurglings came to "help" the big tough guys. They absolutely failed to do anything to the bloodthirster with their ~110 attacks but when plague flies, 3 nurgling bases and a daemon prince came to help they wounded the nurglings so many times the demons went back to warp. Lolz!

Choppas should give +1S. That's all.

Guns have fially been introduced to the game so that now they are actually worth taking. Close combat is as good as it even was, shooting has just been brought to equal it and even oks get n on the fun, so now they shoot on their way in to cop the enemy apart. .

I prefer shoota boyz by far. Nothing like a good assault weapon!

I like both. Slugga boys just need a method to deliver them into assault, like open topped deffrolla battlewagons. Shoota boys seem more rounded on the field. Will be interesting to see if there are any shake ups to stock boys come the new codex.
