I mean its a loss, but i think ittl be fine. Just go plowing straight at em with your wraithknights, and follow up behind with your serpents. Most players will just focus on your wraithknights, letting your serpents live longer.

My Iyanden list which i'm taking to an upcoming tournament is:
HQ- Farseer -100 (warlord?)

Total of 1845 with 5pts for what ails me.

I think it will do average with the serpents on AA duty and the WL just there for theme and maybe 6 Strength 6 shots will do something.

As far as thematic and competitive Iyanden builds go, I think you've pretty much nailed it. The only thing I'd do is find the points for Vectored Engines on your Scytheguard Serpent. That pivot-after-disembarking means a lot when you really don't want to show your rear to the enemy.

I contemplated dropping the wraith forge stone and purchasing holo fields and vectored engines for the scythe guard. But I didn't know wether the ability to give wraithknight wounds back would serve me better than VE's?

Ok, this is the list I'm sticking to. Play testing it this weekend against a mates farsight list.

He is taking:

Farsight,
2 x 3 crisis suits. 3 with 2 fusions and 3 with 2 plasma,
10 kroot with sniper rounds,
3 riptides with ion accelerators and fusions,
2 x 4 pathfinders
Skyray
2 x broadsides with tonnes of missiles!!

So, how do people think I should play this one? After a convo with Ninjafiredragon I've decided that the pathfinders are very high up on the priority list. But what then?

Yeah. 5 have scythes, and 10 have cannons.

Shoot the crap out of his riptides before they riptide you, Farsight and his ladz will kill anything within 12" so space out serpents enough for him to only hit 1.

A tactic which I used lately is sticking my wraithknights on the table behind any Los blocking terrain and then having Ws come in second after farsight so they can blow em away (note it has only worked 1/2 the time).

Something else you can try is Deep striking the WKs next to his riptides and focus fire at one to Id him (never tried it).

Right - tomorrow is D-Day. Going to hit his pathfinders first and go for some distort hits on his riptides (and hope and pray for that 6!)

Shame we never heard how this got on, I am building a similar Iyanden list and would like some insight on how a similar list got on against Farsight's finest.
