Tough call. Let's see some of my favourite choices:

Blood Angels
My very first army. Beatiful fluff, but ridiculous crunch.
*shakes fist at the mentioning of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named*

White Scars
I just love the white color scheme and their rules.

Salamanders
My 2nd choice from C:SM. Because... Well.
You know. I saw a city burning. Fire and such.
And felt the heat upon my skin. I loved it. Yea...

Space Wolves
Would be my favourite if not for Wolf Guard Battle Leader with Wolftooth Necklace and Wolf Claws leading Wolf Guard onto battle.
They are accompanied with Thunderwolf Cavalry riding Thunderwolf mounts and one of them having Mark of the Wulfen.

Mantis Warriors, absolutely.

Ambush hunters, skilled predators, steeped in mysticism and superstition with a tragic backstory of betrayal and deception... plus, they have a nice, easy colour scheme that's not too garish, and their chapter symbol isn't too hard to draw on with a sharpie marker (because feth doing that with a paintbrush, my calligraphy's not that good!).

They're everything my other armies aren't. The only way their tabletop rules could be better (in my opinion, I know many disagree) is that there aren't any provisions for their veteran sniper units.

Did you just call the chapter of wolves with wolfy names and wolf weapons and wolf jewelry and with wolf insignia riding wolves diverse?

Hardly.

While marines are said to be able to take down 1000 men, grey knights are supposed to be able to fight off 100 space marines.

Whereas seeing a marine is like finding a unicorn, seeing a greyknight is like finding a unicorn tapdancing on a dragon while the dragon is driving a racecar with chuck norris in the passenger seat...and then getting killed or mind wiped immediately.

Short story, GKs are the elite of the elite.

I'm all for grey supremacy but seriously? 100 marines? Good luck. Now if he were wearing terminator armour...

There is both a suit of terminator armor and a suit of power armor for every Grey Knight in existence.

They are also allowed to choose any weapon from the armory that suits their particular strengths...ie: they have halberds, swords, hammers, falchions, staves.

...as there are supposedly only 3000 Grey Knights.

I'm gonna go make a grey knight discussion thread.
I like terminator armour.
Alot.
If I ever become a pirate, I'm gonna pay japan to make me one. But it will have a pikachoo paint job so I will have to spray paint it.
And then I will use it to take over Australia, and use some of he money from taxes to make japan make me a stormbolter and double-headed power axe. And then I will win life.
(wow, that was a weird thought train...)

Then the Grey Knights die utterly and completely. They're no better than other Marines against non-Daemonic enemies fluff-wise.
