Really trying, but not seeing the humor in that one......
Maybe it's because I have 2 daughters? The OP was wronged, period. I personally believe it was his money and time wasted. He has every right to do what he needs to
get what he's owed. And by me finding this when I did, he's kept me from going through possibly the same BS he did. I was seriously considering an order from that site.

You may catch his interest if you post this on Heresy Online.

I haven't been on there for over a year now, but he was very active on that site.

I'm another UK user that hasn't had any issues the couple of orders I've placed.

Good luck,

What you *could* do is 'sell' your debt to a UK based Dakkanaut for £0.01. They could then use the small claims court Link ( to sue Bits and Kits which would cost £25 to file the paperwork plus Bailiffs fees on top to recover the money (all the court and bailiffs fees could be added to the debt). Whether you'd want to fund this or could find anyone to do it for you is the barrier.

Tried to no effect. Messaged, got nothing back. As I stated, he is most likely actively avoiding this matter...

I have ordered from B&K several times (there is actually aa small order on the way right now).

On my previous order, I was shorted one item and a note was included promising a refund. It never came despite several reminders. It is only $1.50 but its the principle.

After reading about your experience and with my own history, I have made a decision to never give him by business again.

As Eh Steve says in his initial post, he has bad luck with pretty much everyone. I don't know why B&K has taken so long to do nothing about his order, but I know that I've never had a problem with their store. I got some wrong items once, and that was it. Every other order has arrived on time and complete.

GW does have good customer service though?

Of course they do. GWUS has some amazing customer service. Back when there was no embargo, GWUS was a great place to order from as it arrived quickly and any mistakes were sorted out even more quickly.

The owner of bits n kits is pretty active in quite a few of the Warhammer trading groups on FB - I'd suggest getting in there to contact him.

Tried, failed, losing my patience (and only now).

My most recent attempt to get him to respond:

ehsteve wrote:Hello,

I am chasing up this refund yet again. It has now been five months since I provided my details for the refund for the missing order (#*****). I would like to make it clear that it was stated at the time that this would be resolved the day after my details were provided.

You have consistently ignored my messages and shown nothing but contempt for the customer. I have tried all modes of communication which you have decided to ignore thereon. Should you not honour the agreed refund of £31.10 within a reasonable period (1 week) I will have to proceed through the small claims court. I have given sufficient leeway on the matter in the amount of five months before now, so a week I would wager to be a fair amount of time to get your affairs in order. It is ridiculous that after one and a half years I should still be chasing this small amount but you seem content with inaction to the point where I would consider it malicious.

However you do seem content to still send me restock and discount emails.

Kindly respond so that I may be otherwise discouraged from taking said claim actions on this matter.

Kind regards,

-*****

This time next week is anyone in the UK willing to take on my claim and split the moneys recovered?

I have been promised a refund 3 times. I would have been willing to order again and again if he had simply refunded the small amount owed. Now he has lost that money many times over in lost business.

He's active on the 'Fansite for GW' fan page - in fact, he's just placed an advert thread on there...

To which I've appended this thread to see the reaction.

Here's the thread:

good old Art, hes like my very own little yappy alarm dog, any chance he gets he right in there with links to negative posts about our service, thanks for the heads up on face book! top bloke

Ehsteve, i have looked at my records and we seemed to have refunded you historically for "lost" orders and you placed orders after those refunds were processed so i assume you were ok with the refunds?, but you still claim we owe you money?, personally i dont believe i do,but If you want to work this through then PM me in dakka and i will furnish you with my personal details and we can work it out.

Sorry to anyone within Dakkadakka who has found our service lacking, we do the best we can with the little resources we have, selling tiny bits of plastic while GW does its level best to close us down every other month.
I accept we lack the customer service resources you have come to expect.

By the way for anyone whos interested we have just uploaded a load of stock for easter .

Thanks, another avenue I can pursue in the hopes that he actually responds.

That said, there's only 4 days left on my terms. We shall wait and see.

Indeed... I would expect a company to be apologetic, not antagonistic, to a customer who had been waiting 5 months since being promised a refund.............

Looking forward to seeing an update on whether this is (finally) resolved.

He claims to have made the refund, so there should be a money trail to back that up.

I have scoured my paypal account many times before to ensure that this was not just a numbers mistake. I am now wholly convinced that I have never received a refund for that order. Please note that I am a professional accountant.

If he believes he refunded me for order 18521, he is mistaken.

He has contacted me privately to resolve this, but I am compelled to still keep everyone posted on the progress. I have spent a year and a half trying to resolve this and letting people know seems to have made him finally recongize the issue rather than hoping that I would simply drop it.

His tone sounds somewhat antagonized and generally frustrated. Now he gets a miniscule taste of what I feel whenever I even think about these series of events.

Refund was made from B&K in full today, issues resolved. The war is over.

My thanks to all parties involved on both sides of this, it's been a long time in the making.

So, based on your experience, we now know that all it takes is an 18 month wait and a public naming-and-shaming on a major forum to get a refund.

So I can now add 'very own happy attack dog' to my list of accolades - thanks.

Thing is, it took me hounding you from group to group for you to even acknowledge the issue - then, from the look of it, you lied about giving a refund, and only after that did you make good on it - instead, you get prissy with potential customers.

Nice business plan there fella - up with the best.
