Ok, but how does it work if an army does not take GK as an ally but instead takes an inquisitorial detachment and Coteaz?

Is it that everyone is entitled to an inquisitorial detachment as per the inquisitor book (which does not count as an ally itself but just an extension of the normal force org slot) and then if they take Coteaz that uses the ally slot?

Or is it that anyone taking units from the inquisitor book counts as an ally and Coteaz being an entry in the inquisitorial book is not an extra allied slot?

Or is it that you can take inquisitor units or Coteaz but not both?

Just want some clarification with the inquisitorial detachment rules for your event, thanks =).

Per the BSB rules, you can take 1 allied force MAX. You are NOT allowed to also take Inquisitors. They count as an allied force. Basically we are allowing a max of 2 sources in your army.

Coteaz can go with the GKs, because he is part of that Codex.

Or you could take an Inquisition force as your allied detachment.

Cool so I can take an inquisition force as my allies including Coteaz with IG primary, but the inquisition counts as my 1 and only allied detachment.

Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

I have a question. Would say someone using a supplement be able to use a detachment? As for example, could I play Space Marines; Sentinels of Terra with a IG attachment? I'm using 3 books but 2 armies, how does that work?

Is Sentinels of Terra usable without Codex: Space Marines? Isnt it just an expansion specific to the Imperial Fists?

Correct.

List submitted. I really want to play AM in the broad side bash. I hope it's kosher, but if not I included a backup IG list.

I would be shocked if they had a problem with it. Debate the value of AM all you want, but the rules are air tight in that book.

Problem with AM is the Dex is only a week old. It would be pretty difficult to get the models, put them together, paint them, and submit a list (which should have been submitted 2 weeks before the Codex came out).
I'm also playing Guard. Last hurrah for Ordnance Tanks.

Life isn't fair. But wouldn't it be worse if Life were fair, and all of the really terrible things that happen to us were because we deserved them?

Well, considering how the BSB 40k rules section specifically says that they will "NOT be using the 2014 IG codex" I can't inagine they would allow the new AM book to be used. That is unless they make an exception to what they have stated on this web page wich would be a bummer for anyone else who wanted to use the new book but didn't.

Anyway, you still have a solid army Andrew, especially if you keep rolling the ignores cove power like you always seem to do against me .

Nope, the new IG book or Adeptus Militatium (or whatever) is not allowed at this time.

It's all good I was going to field pretty much the same list with AM or IG.

What I really want to know is how my Immobile units will work when they are forced into reserves by scenario 6

They destroy the space time continuum and the universe explodes...

I'd imagine they just come in like normal reserves and are placed as far as they need to be to get onto the board but otherwise don't move, I know you have some oddly shaped artillery units but that seems to make the most sense!

We decided that in that case, the actual models are placed on the table, but the crew will come in from reserves. In either case, they cannot fire the turn that they come in from reserves.

On moon miranda.

I know FW used to just have them Deep strike onto the board (air-dropped or emerging from positions, etc). if the guns are placed on the table but the crew come in from reserves, can the guns still be shot at?

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Seems nice and clean cut. If the guns are on then my guess is they can be shot. The only units left in question are the T6 no crew units like tarantulas and hyperios.

As an IG player with a lot of artillery I like the scenario. It gives vehicles an edge over artillery when 6th ed heavily favors artillery.
