A bit off topic, but I'm also interested in this Spyder-star stuff.

Would someone mind posting all the relevant information (Perhaps better in a new topic)

Thanks.

Well, I played a unit of 3 Spyders at several occasions. My impression is that they are too slow.
If you want Spyders, then you have to build the army around them.

Back to the topic, as said above, a more balanced list seems to be better these days.

Looks like someone started one http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/584598.page

And to your point about the spyders being slow, thats what Obyron is there for and yes while they can't assault after a veil the impending Assault has to be dealt with either by the opposing players movement phase or by shooting at it which is probably a win/win in both scenarios.

There are also Podcasts with Rob Madeley (british necron player) who talks about the spyder star in detail and how he uses it in tournaments.
Don't suppose you have a link handy, do you?
(would save me some time trying to look it up)

11th company also did one and is easier to find.

The latest episode of 11th company Warner born and myself are guest hosts, and we talk about our armies for the tof invational. He took spider star (calls it spider ball) and recaps how he did with it.

I'm wondering if you could take 2 HQs and spam the whole it's Night Fight , with 2 Command Barges and 3 Annihilation Barges. Give the Necron Lords, Mindshackles and a Wraithblade.

Something Like

Necron Overlord
W , MS, Command Barge

Necron Overlord
W, MS, Command Barge

3 Annihilation Barges

This is insanely cheap by the way for what it does, you have two Command Barges that have Jink, a decent HTH that can really mess with IC , has a Tesla Cannon.

and as many Immortals and Night Scythes you can bring. This would also allow you to get some Harbingers with Voltaic Staff to hunt vehicles. You probably could alternate getting just one Overlord and 3 with the Voltaic staff and take Imohtek but that's expensive.

If I lose it is because I had bad luck, if you win it is because you cheated.
