I, and I'm sure many others, brought up the idea of Rune Lore and using general magic items a while ago and the old time dwarf players went ballistic. I'm guessing that was the consensus and GW saw that and decided to keep them relatively the same. Of the X people who are pissed they are still Dwarfs but simply have more stuff, there would be X+10234892 people who would be pissed if they were completely different.

Yeah, I don't think they can because Gyros are unit size 1.

Us real old time Dwarf players remember when Dwarfs had wizards.

But that was back before Army Books existed.

As Saldiven says, it's correct, plus Gyros are already the best unit in the book
