So this Kickstarter is cancelled.

Hello, Super-Friends.
Even the best comics get cancelled when the numbers are stacked against them. We've reached that point.
We have decided after much reflection to cancel funding on the SuperSystem 4th ed. Kickstarter. We do not do this lightly, but we believe the project will not fund at this point, and we need to focus on the next steps now.
These steps include finishing the book and layout, and setting up POD options through Lulu and other vendors. The book will also be sold as a PDF through our usual outlets. We’ll provide updates and announcements on these developments through the mailing list and through this KS page.
We would like to thank you all very much for your support and well wishes. As we have said before, this level of support heartens us and will carry us forward to finish this project via other means.
No creators could wish for a better group of teammates than you folks! Thank you all!
It *might* have funded. Either way it doesn't look like it's going to meet the goals for the creator even if it barely funded.
Some suggestions if you do one for the future:
1) Miniatures. People like pledging for actual stuff. So work something out in advance with Old Glory and sell some figures as add ons as part of the
KS. The prices on the figures is already competitive enough that you don't have to do it at 50% off retail.
I know shipping can be a problem here, but I think you can make it work with a reasonable charge for USPS. It might also be a good opportunity to figure out the whole international shipping thing for thrifty wargamer.
2) Something between a $6 PDF and a $40-60 hardcover. Miniatures work well here as does additional PDFs. I was struggling to find something to pledge for because the shipping costs produced such a huge leap from the PDF.
3) Leverage your existing publications. A PDF bundle of Goal System based games. Like a $25 pledge level for SS4 and two other games. Or game add ons at $10 or something.
4) Overhead videos clearly show mechanics, but a lower angle shows the miniatures a bit more and makes things look better in the videos.
Another couple questions:
What's the timeline for the transition to print on demand and final PDF sales?
