Wow its been too long! This whole planning a move half way accross the US takes up time and effort. There is an upcoming APOC game so I wanted to get the gargant up and running. Here are some pictures, I wired all the pistons and added some more bulk to the arms so they look less like PVC pipe

Dang, it's been awhile.. With 8ed I came back to the hobby and decided I needed a weird boy with the new rule set. Now I ain't about to pay 23 bucks for one so I dug In my bits box and decided to kit bash one. Behold the bits I harvested and I'll post wip pics along the way. Enjoy!

New wip pics. I have been spending most of my time on getting the staff to look how I want it to. Enjoy!

He's an impressive piece of work! the staff in particular came together really well. the wiring(?) wrapped around the one part definitely helps.

Thanks for the kind words fellas, I am happy to see I still "got it" coming back from a several year break in the hobby. I agree that the wire heroes helped fill the empty area of the staff and gave it a more orky vibe. Only a few more bits to add into the staff until it's finished. I am still trying to work out what to do with the other arm to give the model a little balance visually. Maybe it's a non issue, we will see.

Sorry for the lack of updates, i spent most of my time doing the boring fiddly things (Gap filling, removing mold lines, playing around with dry fitting to finalize the pose). He is now primed and ready to paint, and I should have pics coming soon.

I will need to pause from painting and make a light box... This was the only picture I could get to somewhat show the colors correctly. I am upset about my priming job, I sprayed at too great a distance so he is a bit grainy in places. Oh well, I am my own greatest critic.

It's been awhile since I have shown the gargant. Here is a pic of him in the paint garage getting another coat of gun metal. Fun fact, cardboard really REALLY soaks up paint. Semi Pro Tip, if you scratch build with cardboard, expect multiple coats.

Recently finished a converted AOBR nob with waagghh banner. Constructive criticism and pointers welcome.

I have been absolutely terrible about updating progress. With covid and 9th Ed, I have been working hard at clearing out my backlog of plastic. I counted up the models I have finished since I got back on the 40k kick and it's a cool 900 points. I will try to add updates as I have been painting nearly every day in some capacity.

Recently I finished up 5 koptas. Enjoy!
