I usually run my IG with Inquisition... Although there may not be as much of a need to the psyker pull. I still like servo skulls, but that is it.

I have ran IG with GK and Inquisition. That was fun... but GK suck up a few points!

The game is changing quickly, I am curious as to how they are going to continue gouging us for more money with the 7th ed release.

Not sure what do you mean with "people won't play armies in such a way", but I've seen enough IG/CSM Eldar/Dark Eldar or Tau/Marines fluffy armies to know that those players that aren't hell-bent on ultra-competitive playing like to field armies that they think they look cool, most often using allies chart to get their fix of stuff they would normally be unable to have in their themed army.

That's... not what happened.

She didn't "trade" them. She sent three regiments of Cadian soldiers to take it, through extreme application of ultra-violence.

Trazyn the Infinite simply turned them into living statues of light after his Warriors defeated them in battle.

That's why Trazyn sent her an activated Tesseract Labyrinth. What's going on between them is a love-hate relationship with potentially-deadly consequences.

Allying with your own supplement just to jam in an extra Riptide or Heldrake is pretty stupid.

TauDar is absolutely slowed. TauMarines is equally silly.


Nearly every "Battle Brother" needs to be, at best, an Ally of Convenience. The only true Battle Brothers should be Inquisition & Imperials, SW and IG (SW have a long history of actually viewing humans as...humans), Chaos Space Marines and Chaos Daemons, and perhaps Tyranids and IG seeing as you could run the army as a Genestealer Cult with some restrictions. I suppose Space Marines and CSM would make sense to represent some of the more loyalist-ey traitor legions, and IG-CSM to represent traitor Guard.

Most of these cross-xenos partnerships are the source of most of the game-breaking stupidity and don't even make sense fluff-wise.
