correct me if I am wrong on that, but you get your str D from forts

regardless of unfluffy ness, NIDS still have acess to D weapons. Tyranid up the buildings and infect them or something. eat the building and poop out a NID building.

but nids do in fact have D weapons

That's why you scratch build some grotesque construct of Tyranid flesh and carapace that forms an abomination with the size and general shape of that fortification that has a gigantic orafice which spits great big blobs of bioplasma or whatnot onto the battlefield.

I've a friend who scratch built a tyranid ADL this way AGES ago.

It's hard to make Tyranid fortification guns that don't look...phallic.

But I'm hoping 7e introduces more xenos fortifications.

I'd love an ADL variant with twinlinked Tesla destructors.

We don't know if Fortifications with D weapons are still in the game in 7th, or that Tyranids can still fire Emplaced Weapons & Gun Emplacements (remember, the new Codex has yet to be FAQ'd).

Until the Tyranid FAQ is out I'm very hesitant about buying any Fortifications because of their guns.

Liking the new SD rules, Less of wiping out entire squads and more about stacking damage on a single target.

The 7th edition way of thinking is that everyone has access to absolutely everything.

You want a D weapon with your tyranids? You just throw a revenant titan in there.

Playing a battle-forged list? Oh well, that just means you have to pay a tax of a cheap eldar HQ and two min-sized troops choices before you chuck the titan in.

Really there are no armies of a specific faction anymore. Even when playing battle-forged lists. Just collections of whatever models take your fancy.

He said nids have no D weapons, Devourer starts with a D, harhar....yeah..no sense of humor.

Tyranids totally have D Weapons.

Under the new rules anyone can have a Revenant Titan in their list.

Hmm, I feel it now...

Eldrad looked over his shoulder at the rev titan he had borrowed from his brother mattdrad wardsten, he had read the runes and knew war was coming but just how he should and where he should was the question. It wasn't long till eldrad psychically called his buddy the hive mind version 2.4 and left a voice mail saying he needed some gants and as many flyrants as it could spare, next he called necron tomb world efinoigvnrwoi or something like that. After waiting on hold for a while he was met with a beep beep.. Sorry, the number you have dialed was disconnected, please hang up and try again. Eldrad swore to himself saying **** you AT$T! But finally came through just as his calling mins were up. He had just enough time to say a few words, "Dlord...Wraiths..AA barges". A few hours later they had sighted their enemy, Bill, eldrad hated bill for constantly smack talking hemlock wraithfighters, which they do suck, but they look so cool. Just after deployment but before the roll setting up something happend!

A good solid logical narrative helps any thread, tactics as well. As for strength D, it has been answered, nothing more to learn.
