Dont feel like looking it up but pretty sure you still cant go flat out if you dont move before disembark. However, you CAN still move 12" with the vehicle since the 6" limitation is only before disembark, not after. You still cant tankshock or ram as youre explicitly disallowed, but the 12" movement can be used to be a roadblock or score an objective while dumping the troops off to hold another objective.
Usually doesnt happen unless you got an assaulty unit thats too close you want to gun down though.

One last question, do you prefer Pathfinders or Tetras? My opponent had 2 Tetras. I have been reading other threads and found that it is mixed. As I don't know the stat-line or war gear of Pathfinders (I believe I know the Tetras'), I'm just curious. Thanks.
To be honest I prefer taking marker drones attached to my plasma rifle crisis suits unit and have a shas'ui with a drone controller. BS3 with relentless and t4 I find is much better option than the other Markerlight options as they get wiped off the board pretty quickly. There again I don't take Riptides in my list so it's a bit controversial

Alas, they have no fire points whatsoever. Apparently GW thought our fire warriors being able to fly around in mobile skimmer bunkers was overpowered. They do get a pair of gun drones that fire like passengers and can disembark if you want them to. Great for blocking charge lanes to the troops that actually matter.
is THAT where they drew the line with Tau being overpowered
When the very first codex came out a hundred years ago, I guess. Tau weren't really a "problem" until very recently, save for that short period during 4th when "Fish of Fury" was a thing but GW fixed that.

Thank you, I would assume this would also help protect the Crisis Suits as you would put some drones at the front?
Also, I got the codex and I got a download of Farsight Enclaves. As a gift I also got a riptide a 12 Fire Warriors. I'm going to paint them red (I saw some that were base coated with the Mephiston red spray) would you prime them white? Also, I'm going to proxy one of the FWs as a Cadre Fireblade so even in FE, I'll have a unit of 11 with cadre (w/out DF) for a cheap 24-36 S5 shots and to hold an objective.(I'm almost done making my 1500-2000 point army, which I will post on Army Lists)

I've started running Empire and FE CAD lists where I end up taking a 3 man squad with 2 dual plasma and a dual missile, each with target lock and 4 marker drones. Attach the Empire buff commander to tank for a very durable scoring unit and throwing on the FE commander in just for added fun.
That one unit has caused a lot of trouble in my recent games and has taken quite a bit of shooting as well. 4 marker tokens each turn gave my HBC Riptide with ECPA effectively BS10 and ignores cover.
The key to making the unit more survivable is putting the commander in front and LOS to models of choice. Commander will tank anything S8-9, can pass on S7 and less to Crisis suits, and S10 can be tossed on a drone if you manage to deploy right. Gives your commander a lot more flexibility.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."

lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

I was thinking about getting another Riptide with HBC and ECPA + MLs. If I get O'Vesa, can I still get another ECPA for a HBC? I was just going to ally Empire up and get a Batman Commander and attach him to a riptide (can you attach a IC on a Riptide?)

ECPA is one per army, no you cant get one for an HBC if you have ovesa.
ICs cannot join MCs at all anymore.

Can't attach IC's to Riptides, with the exception that O'vesa can join other units as long as it's not a Riptide.
The ECPA is one per army, so you wouldn't be able to purchase another if you took O'Vesa.

It's not that bad. As I stated, the buff commander attached to the three man squad gained massive benefits while getting enough markers on a separate unit to give the Riptide BS5 with re-rolling 1's and ignoring cover.

because we've had a big discussion on YMDC about it.
Rules say an IC cannot join an MC, meaning nothing can join something that is an MC.
Since Ovesa is an IC and an MC at the same time, joining him to a squad would mean an MC has joined that squad, which goes against the rules

Oh well, I wasn't planning on O'Vesa anyway unless it meant I could get 2 ECPA (which I can't)
