Nope, not for me at all.

They aren't competing though. Put money and fame on the line and you will see a general change in attitude in the way they carry themselves.

Seems interesting however I am somewhat suspect that the joints will be flexible enough to allow full on martial arts while providing enough protection from edged and even blunt weaponry.

Given that real plate armor doesn't restrict you very much at all I imagine it won't be restrictive at all.

Oddly enough, plate armor actually gives more freedom of movement then chain mail or padded armor.

Well over a thousand years of trying to do exactly that and someone is going to succeed in making non-restrictive armor.

Ive been trying to find local martial arts schools that offer weapons training lol, pretty much everyone seems to want you to do more traditional unarmed type stuff with weapons as an add on, kinda frustrating (especially for someone who was about a month shy of testing for black belt in shotokan about a decade back, while im out of practice and not necessarily good, I like to think I have the foundational basis for weapons study).

I just wanna study polearms (bo staff, halberd, naginata, etc.), although if I could find someone to teach me how to use an Urumi or a chain whip...

Well, the suit does have sensors all over the body to register hits. Add in little electroshock thingies to make the wearer feel some of that pain and we may have something here.
