Do Dark Angels nesscarily have a lot of terminator armor though? more then any other first founding chapter?

I don't know if current fluff has changed things, but in previous fluff the Dark Angels were either the only, or one of the only, Chapters with sufficient suits of Terminator armour to equip their full First Companies with it. Which is why the First Company were always deployed in Terminator armour. The implication was that most Chapters, even First Founding, didn't have enough.

I think the only other Chapters who come close are the Ultramarines due to their massive resources and the Salamanders for their artisan skills and ability to maintain the suits. Also, the Minotaurs are reported to have large reserves of TDA due to Inquisitorial funding.

That is of course discounting the GK who are literally dripping in Terminator Armour (almost enough to outfit every Knight. Note that the only unit not able to be equipped are Purifiers. Strike Squads/Interceptors, Purgator squads and Terminator Squads are all the same marines, just rotated around, and all their Officers except the Brotherhood Champion has TDA.

The Deathwing (and the equivalents in the other DA successor chapters) are still notable as the only 1st company formation to maintain enough Terminator suits for the whole of the 1st company. The most common mission of the Deathwing is to support their brothers and this is supported in the current codex fluff (and all the previous ones too). There can be years or decades between hints of the Fallen, during which time the Deathwing and the DA as a whole continue their normal work of service to the Imperium. Its the job of the Ravenwing to actually hunt the Fallen down, only really calling in the Deathwing if the Fallen in question is too hard a nut for them to crack on their own.

Personally I think centurions are horrible clunky things that should never have seen the light of day. Compared to Terminator armour, they provide poorer protection and can't teleport, so are less mobile and create a smaller impact as they can be seen coming. The Dark Angels break sieges by teleporting in through the walls and smooshing the squishies inside, or deploying devastator squads (or just handing the whole mess over to the Guard to get in thorugh attrition). No need for the crude lash-ups represented by the Centurions.

Also all this is academic anyway, as the DA codex doesn't have them as an option.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!
