I'm rather floored that this is a credulous question.
I suppose at some point I will see plastic sisters , and at that point I will concur in the often heard complaint that
GW thinks its customers are stupid. At that point I will also agree that
GW is correct in that assessment.
What can I say? I remember a time when
GW gave customers a choice between expensive metal sculpts, which were modular, or cheaper (less-expensive) plastic sculpts, which, honestly, I think they sculpted bad on purpose (so that people would still buy metal). This was also around the time we got 'white metal' and all the prices went up 25%. Back then (or rather just before then) I did genuinely believe that
GW was the price it needed to be. Though I often wondered why they didn't just make their plastic sculpts better and make the whole hobby more affordable. Of course a few years later that is exactly what they did... Except they didn't make the hobby more affordable, they just raised plastic to the same price metal used to be and cut themselves a bigger profit margin: "Gee , instead of an expensive metal army , I can have an expensive plastic army ?"
That was the moment I realized that
GW thought their customers were stupid, packed up my stuff and quit playing. Since that was 15 years and about 20 price hikes ago. I would say I have long since relented to the notion that
GW must be right. Every year I look at the financial report thinking "this will be it, they've finally pushed people too far" but of course it never happens.
Eventually, I did come back (evidently) to try out the overpriced plastic models, and they're pretty good. All things being equal I prefer plastic as a modeling material. I don't think that justifies the high price, but what can you do? (Aside from quit again, which I did, a few price hikes later).
Sisters is an army I've always been interested in. Unfortunately I already had too much stuff when Codex
SoB was released, so I made the conscious decision not to start another army. Now the idea of starting a sisters army seems ridiculous because of the cost. If they released newer plastic kits, I honestly don't know if I would buy one. I certainly would be 'interested' in owning some, but
GW being
GW they will probably try to charge £35 for five models and I'll just go "No". But if they came in at the same price as
tac marines then I would probably buy one or two boxes (even though I begrudge giving money to
GW), it's a release I've been really looking forward to.
