Flayed ones are pretty good if you are running dark harvest...

No, they aren't. The are the very same FO with Fear (which is useless) and can buy Shred in the first turn of combat for a few additional points. They are certainly better than the vanilla ones, but still are far from being good. They are mediocre at best and there still is no reason to take them over regular Necron Warriors, especially with the meta shifting back to vehicles.

They need, at the very least, Rending attacks.

Necrons are coming, but nobody is really sure when. The ork and SW book are at least internally balanced. It's no longer rune priest, GH, long fangs and spam as many of those as you can to get to your point limit. There is a reason to take Ulrik over a wolf priest. There's a reason to throw in some BC instead of 6 units of GH. Yes they lost some cool war gear but they also gained relics. Crons will probably get more of a nerf because they're a higher tier army right now and they have a bunch of stuff that was mediocre in 5th but is now kind of OP. And did I really just hear a necron player complaining about needing a MC?! You have fething transcendent c'tan! Possibly the most broken thing in 40k that isn't a $300+ FW kit. Put c'tan up against equal points in riptides, wraithknights or flyrants, I know who my money is on.

Yeah, I'd bet on one of our Lords of War beating those units too.

Our regular C'tan Shard is our MC, and I'd rather that it get buffed with some new powers than get a new MC altogether.

Spyders are MCs too, of course, but I don't know if they really need anything. Gloom Prism being more useful would be nice but I won't hold my breath.

At any rate, the Necron Codex doesn't need more new unit entries. We have a lot of generally unimpressive units that need to be touched up first.

So by your logic, after setup my stompa, costing as much as a kitted c'tan should win 50 precent of the time, and NOT get shot down turn one or two every time by him simply moving 12 away?

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

I said "one of our Lords of War," not any Lord of War. Ours, as in Necrons, because the Transcendent C'Tan is very good, and because that's the Codex we were talking about.
