Wow that is a really nice miniature range, I must admit I hadn't heard of them before.

Out of interest, do you know of anyone that does a good 'ork' proxy at 6mm?

Troublemaker Games' Skinnerz range is quite nice, though they do not have rank and file Ork boys at the moment (they are part of a plastic crowdfunded campaign that has ended, but been post-poned again and again due to manufactoring issues unfortunately).

My Epic Genestealer Cult spark some interest in some of my old minis, so time to dig out an age old Genestealer Hybrid.

"Armed with the fearsome Castigator pattern bolt cannon, the Cerastus Knight-Castigator is favoured by those households faced with hordes of lesser foes that might otherwise overwhelm even a mighty Knight through sheer numbers.
Capable of obliterating infantry formations in a thunderous rain of mass-reactive explosions and whirling power blade, or carving apart light vehicles with ease, the Castigator is a formidable opponent."

Another fantastic non commercial scratchbuild model.

Nice work on the Cerastus, has anyone made rules for it or is it just for show/proxy?

Brilliant stuff

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

All this stuff is amazing, basically perfectly scaled down replicas of some pretty complicated pre-heresy miniatures, and that knight too. Great stuff.

The Castellax, employed in units of one to five by the Legio Cybernetica, has a standard configuration of bolter and bolt cannon armament, and is able to maintain a punishing barrage of firepower as it advances. The Castellan-type Battle-automata’s modular chassis allows it to carry a variety of different weapons configurations, one of which provides the armour penetrating firepower of a multi-melta and replaces the Castellan’s standard shock chargers with Battle-automata power blades.

The above minis are again a non profit fanmade scratchbuild. The 5 Castellax Maniple is a solid mix of multi-melta and bolt cannon armament. The infantry minis are age old plastic Epic IG and the Tech Priest is from the IG character blister.

Specialist Games seems to be back, consequently I digged out some EPIC minis and finished a HH Death Guard Cataphracti unit! The minis are a private sculpt of a fellow enthusiast and not commercially available.

Just to give an idea how good these are a comparison shot with a Forge World Termie.

Mk III Power Armour!

And I rebased the Cataphracti, the round bases are a bit too crowded for my taste. I will stick to the FoW bases.
