I'm pretty sure that normal SM are the Marines +1 at this point.

SM - better than BA
SM - Better than DA

And now lets see in how many ways are SM "more" than SW

Sternguard ammo
Centurions
Grav guns
AV 13 Walkers
Multiple Different Chapter Tactics to fit your chosen playstyle
Thunderfire Cannons
Conversion Beamer weapons
Purchasable EW
Combat Squadding
Access to more Psychic Disaplins
Relic Blades

Thats a lot of stuff above and beyond our +1 strength power weapons (which we pay for). The days of SW being marines +1 are over, they were over the moment when the new Marine codex dropped and now even more so with the loss of several SW specific wargear and bonuses. The SM codex is really really good, I just think a lot of people are stuck in the old mindsets and haven't fully come to grasp with just how good SM players really have it.

Does making a goat produce the spider silk count as manmade?

Did you know that they are actually on production runs of this now? except the abandoned the spider goat, and its now the spider silk worm, as silk worms are already "tame" and have production lines to actually make things out of the new material.

"While scientists have been able to replicate the proteins that are the building blocks of spider silk, two technological barriers that have stymied production (until now) are the incapacity to form these proteins into a spider silk fiber with the desired mechanical characteristics and to do so on a cost-effective basis."

Well, that's the thing: Fluffwise, it's not just the Space Wolves.

The Salamanders use dragon (well salamander) teeth and hides. The Adamantine Mantle was originally a Salamander upgrade - the mantle itself was a swathe of skin from the Salamander's adulthood rite.

I'm a CSM player, who are currently below even DA (not BA though), we don't exactly have that joy of creation yet.

I'm honestly surprised that the SW dex isn't as it was and became the new SM +1 like it usually is, it's actually..balanced (mostly), and actually a different variant of SM.. Even if it still kinda annoys me that somehow they are better smiths and craftisans then Salamanders.

Not a rant but curious what the justification is for the increased strength on Space Wolves special CCWs.

I don't remember them being noted for making weapons any better than other Chapters.

because they have Wolf or Frost in the name!

Just wait until the Blood Angels get their Blood weapons updated with even more Blood! Then we'll see who's the choppy one! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD ANGELS!

There is none.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I could see the SW having access to better gear through the factthey stiil have the complete legion armoury from the 30k to choose from where everything was better while the other legions spread the good stuff to thewave of new founding chapters so less is available to these chapters and only goes to the highest ranking members

avoiding the lorax on Crion

They gave a lot to there failed attempt at a second founding chapter. So not complete but more than the other first foundlings stock of legion era kit and weaponry.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
