I have used two Typhoon Speeders in almost all of my lists and they are quite likely the most effective unit in my army.

They can put 4 Krak/Frag Missiles and 6 HB shots on a target from long range and they can move 12" to get LoS or the perfect angle on their target. Their maneuverability gives them a massive amount of control over whom they engage and can be engaged by.

If you run sufficient armor saturation they will be a low priority target to anyone who doesn't know their potency. I run 2 Vindicators, 2 Rhinos, and a Dread among other threats and my Typhoons rarely die or take an overly large amount of fire.

Typhoons take finesse and proper planning to make effective. But 150pts in a 2 Speeder squadron can pound the side armor on vehicles, snipe characters, put high volumes of wounds on massed infantry, give high strength low ap fire where needed, and generally bring the Emperor's Wrath to the enemies of Man.

They're one of the legions with the lost Primarchs, their primarch currently wandering around dazed and confused in an alternate reality where he is known as Jean Luc Picard.

Honestly I'd say that big teams of ranged support are the wrong way, and singual purpose-fitted speeders will do much better.

Yes, they are fragile, and can be easily removed, but as my tetras thought me, there is no way to properly apply power to kill a 10/10/10 OT 2HP skimmer.
Anything you aim at it is either completely absurd and wasteful, or you risk the jink saving the damn thing and in that case you just made it weaker for a turn and you will need to do something about him again.

However, in a group, wasting shots is less of an issue for the enemy, as what is way too much for a singular speeder and could double and potentially triple him out, is not a waste when you aim at a team to begin with.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.
