Is it any surprise, really? Tzeentch is often polled as people's favorite Chaos God and, come on, the Thousand Sons' fluff is about the best Traitor Legion fluff there is.

Their crunch is terrible, but there's nothing to be done for it, really.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

They are the most loved cult despite being made of suck for several editions now.

Or just because they suck. 40k players seem to love the underdog armies the most. I mean look at how us Sisters players never shut up about that army.

Has the Alpha Legion even been corrupted by Chaos? I've always assumed that they were just renegades.

Regardless, I vote Dark Angels followed closely by Word Bearers. If you're going to worship Chaos, you go big or you go home.

Necrons: 4000+ pts
Tyranids: 1000+ pts
Word Bearers: 1500+ pts
Emperor's Children: 1500+ pts
Minotaurs: 2000+ pts (killed by Primaris, thanks GW)
Custodes: 1000+ pts

I voted for World Eaters. I mean come on, they have the greatest guy in all of Warhammer.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I think it's more that most Loyalists like the Sons best, since they're not really Traitors.. at first.

I guess one of the best things about Thousand Sons is that on that one-off occassion you win something with a pure Sons army, it does feel ... magical

Night Lords, we were the bad guys long before you other Legions had to beg those silly chaos gods for help.

If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM!

Word Bearers - Because, evil or not, they were right: The 40k universe is a fethed up place ruled by ruthless forces beyond our comprehension, and no ammount of self-deceit is going to save us from that.

Bonus points for Land Raiders looking swell in Bordeaux red.

Honorable mentions: Black Legion, World Eaters.

Led by a lame Commander seriously, how many of Abaddon's crusades have failed?

This is true.... and it's unfortunate that GW had to retcon his most glaring victory... but, then, GW doesn't play its own game and, I think, believes its own in-universe propaganda.

I was going to vote NL, but seeing as most of them don't even follow chaos and see those who do as weak I got to go AL. Something about a small group fighting their brothers and a father they never truly met, simply because it sounded like a challenge is pretty stud. Plus I love their heraldry and color schemes

Night lords. I like the logics behind Curze's actions. Fight fire with fire. And they're not fanatics and don't really depend on any of the warp beings. They're cold, brutal and effective.

Though, i understand why 1000 sons get so much love. They're the good guyz forced to lead this path.

1. One of the only truly tragic stories in all of 40k is the fall of the Thousand Sons. I have a 10,000 point Heresy Thousand Sons army, so they get my vote for close second.

2. Legio Cybernetica. Who doesn't love big stompy robots? It's a legion, don't look at me like that.

3. Death Guard. Some of the most advanced technology in the galaxy, and commanded by one of the greatest minds humanity has ever produced, and they still march slowly towards the enemy. What's not to love.
