Though it isn't the original...
Spoiler:
And the original Richard Burton version.
I was just coming here to post WotW! I left it out originally as I always think of it as a radio play first abd musical second, but there's no denying it's one of the greatest musical achievments of the 20th Century. The live version is also nothing short of spectaucular.
Paint Your Wagon-(Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin in one of the funniest musicals ever to hit the big screen)
White Christmas (Bing Crosby, Danny Kay performing in an Irving Berlin musical.)
Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (Dolly Parton as a Madame, Burt Reynolds as a foul-mouthed country sheriff. A must watch for how politically incorrect it is by todays standards.)
Jesus Christ Superstar (Ted Neely's voice....'nough said)
Rocky Horror (Only at a theater that allows and encourages audience participation. NO DVD....unless you have enough friends to fill out the whole cast and chorus. )
and a few more classics
Three Little Words (Fred Astaire and Red Skelton in a story about a successful song writing team...think Rogers and Hammerstien.)
Funny Face (Fred Astaire and Audrey Hepburn. Iconic 1950's musical.)
The Bob Hope and Bing Crosby Road musicals. (Some of the earliest instances of breaking the 4th wall. Think Abbot and costello in comedic love triangle/competition set to music.)
That is enough for now
Later,
