Tzeentch is honestly the most entertaining because he's the only chaos god that understands the nature of his existance. He understands that all his plans ultimately mean little because If he was to triumph in his great game as he could casually do he would have nothing left to plan for and this he would die. The other gods are in similar situations. They're just not smart enough to know.

Finally found my quote from a gym buddy born and raised in South Korea:
"It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
"It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
"It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.
"It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag."

Actually Nurgle hates this, he wants the universe to die so that new life can blossom forth from the ashes of the universe, sure their power will wane to a weak point but eventually things will return to as they be.

Khorne just wants to murder, blood for the cup and skulls for the throne, whether the universe dies or not is otherwise

Slaanesh also doesn't care. One can indulge your vices no matter what.

Bloodwrack shrine is very recent and that definitely has boob, and harpies still exist, can't think of any examples apart from Dark Elves but at least it shows they're not entirely PG just yet.

It does seem a shame that everything is nurgle and khorne, everyone knows the nurgle thing is almost entirely down to tabletop performance, though knowing GW they probably think everyone just loves the models a hell of a lot more than the other gods since they 'don't focus on that aspect of the hobby'. Saying that it's not like I'm not guilty of it, most of the painted bits downstairs that aren't heralds or screamers are khorne or nurgle.

I enjoy painting nurgle units quite a bit. They're very airbrush and wash friendly. I even snagged a resin GUO after I found out it has a non-reindeer face included.

On the other hand, I really really would like to see a new KOS from GW.

Well, practically Malal is also quite aware of what IS the warp and how it works, trying to destroy it and all means he studied it.

The fact he is perfectly aware that doing so will kill him just makes it more amusing, as unlike Tzeentch who is grumpy of his "lose/lose' state, Malal will be HAPPY to destroy himself along with the warp.

Being the god of paradox and (self)destruction is fun like that.

Not 100% canon, but feth it.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Yeah, Malal is awesome! He's kind of been brought back too. Some fluff mentions the Sons of Malice, a warband of chaos space marines who primarily kill and eat the worshippers of other chaos gods and actively try to disrupt the plans of other warbands. They worship a chaos deity by the name of Malice who is basically Malal by another name because GW lost the rights to Malal a while back.

Well, yea. but they never made his daemons, chaos marks, etc.
So you can't PLAY as "malal", only as "close enough"

Lol, that hilarious! A big part of khorne's popularity is the audience, I mean we are a bunch of wargaming nerds who play pretend war with little dollies, of course we'll love good ol' blood for the blood god! Nurgle is mainly due to his huge tabletop power level.

It's a shame, cause slaanesh and tzeentch are my favorite gods, at least slaanesh is able to be played without shooting yourself in the foot, poor thousand sons

Maybe they should focus more on the magic side of Tzeentch. Psyker-heavy infantry, vehicles and monsters - heck, 'living sorcery' is something Tzeentch-y: a live spell causing havoc and changing stuff around. lots of debuffs that alter rules and miniatures (your Dire Avengers are now SPAWN avengers! muhahah)

SYKOJAK wrote:

You should reverse those.

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

I figured it was because their rules usually suck (lol Slaanesh) so they become less popular. Nurgle is pretty much a non brainer for the increase in toughness and FNP. I think it was only recently the mark started to come with slow and purposeful.

The Mark of Nurgle doesn't give SnP, Plague Marines have always had it and Daemon of Nurgle gives SnP and Shrouded

Just to butt in here, Plague Marines dont have SnP. Plague Zombies have SnP.

Actually Slaanesh is all of those, all the vices in the world pretty much belong to him (Sloth, Pride, Lust, Gluttony, Envy, Greed) the only one that wouldn't is Wrath and that's because Khorne. I mean Slaanesh wants you to take pride in yourself to aspire above others, eat the finest meals, or the most disgusting to fill your need. To desire from others because it should be YOURS, to have it all even as your walking around in gilded gold, to laze around and enjoy yourself in drunken hazes, and to desire everything from any mortal before you.

Nurgle is just Decay, he's not really slothful as he's actually quite diligent in his work of creating plagues, same with many of his troops, they are slow simply because they are poxed to the gills.

Indeed. Nurgle is all cheerful and enthusiastic - it's just that since most of his servants are little better than zombies, that doesn't always translate.

And as to why there are Khorne and Nurgle models but no Tzeench or Slaanesh..... ultimately, it's because the Siege of Vraks - the only Chaos Imperial Armour 'settng' to date - was basically the Somme on crack, so the more subtle chaos powers had no place in the storyline.

If someone wanted to do a shiny Noise Marine army, they can, anyway - you can mix and match Kakophoni and Palatine Blades from the Horus Heresy Emperor's Children sets for sonic blasters and melee-armed warriors, plus the Noise Marines are the only cult legion with their own unique Dreadnought (and it's horrifically effective).

Who's shooting who? Thousand Son armies can be very effective in 7th if you build your army around them.

Colonel Livens would like a word - The Somme saw the deployment of a great deal of ingenuity, including Livens Projectors (the first modern mortars) and the Large Gallery Flame Projector, both of which are rather Tzeentchian in methodology.

Nurgle isn't slothful, but he often gives that impression because he's patient. There is no hope in Nurgle, so there is no need to strive. Simply waiting until your inevitable victory or defeat is quite enough. It's one of the reasons I hate Nurgle. He gets all this screen time and power boosts, and never has to fricken work for a victory!

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.
